A Nigerian lady identified as lola, has taken to twitter to state that Yoruba men will make a lady question her sanity.

According to Lola, what makes Yoruba men the worst is that they are not simply satisfied with sleeping with you or cheating on their partner, but will also want them to fall in love, to obsess over them before breaking ones heart.

Jermaine Jackson Was Absent At His Dad Joe Jackson’s Burial

One member of the musical Jackson family was noticeably absent on Monday when Jackson 5 patriarch Joseph Jackson was buried in the same cemetery as his son Michael Jackson.

Joseph lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on June 27. He was 89. Joe had been ill for some time before the family announced his terminal illness to the public.
The extended Jackson family and friends, including eight of Joe’s 11 children, gathered for a private ceremony at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles to lay Joe Jackson to rest.

But Joe’s third eldest son Jermaine, 63, was not in attendance.

Jermaine performed with his brothers in Detroit on the 22nd of June before leaving the country. According to the source, some of the family were caught off guard by how quickly the ceremony was planned, but Jermaine apparently is the only one who did not make it to Los Angeles in time for the funeral.

Jermaine, pictured 2nd from right in 1971, was the original lead singer of the famed Jackson 5 in the mid-1960s. At age 11, Jermaine was forced to share his microphone with the family’s emerging star, his 7-year-old brother Michael, pictured center.

When Jermaine’s voice changed a few years later, 10-year-old Michael took over the lead for good.

There were reports that the father of 11 was on his death bed in a Los Angeles hospital, but son Jermaine Jackson told reporters “dying” was a harsh word made up for headlines.“He’s very, very frail, he doesn’t have long.

The family needs to be by his bedside — that’s our only intention in his final days,” he told London’s Daily Mail.Joe gave his fans hope when he apparently tweeted a photo of himself staring at a sunset earlier this week.But Michael Jackson’s daughter,Paris Jackson, said her grandpa did not send out the tweet.Joe is best known for being the driving force behind the Jackson5, who made history when their first four singles reached #1 on the charts in the early 1970s.

Lead singer Michael (pictured foreground) went on to break more records with his best-selling album,Thriller, released in 1982.

Joe’s estranged relationship with son Michael resulted in him being completely left out of the King of Pop’s will after his 2009 death. His mother Katherine Jackson continues to receive more than $1 million annually from the Michael Jackson estate.

Joe was hospitalized in June with terminal cancer. His family had been flocking to his bedside since. His wife, Katherine, had been at his bedside as were some of Joe’s children and grandchildren.

Rapper, Meek Mill Headed Back to Prison; Judge Denies Request for New Trial

Rapper Meek Mill lost his bid for a new trial on Tuesday. The troubled rapper went before his arch nemesis Judge Genece Brinkley in a Philadelphia courtroom on Tuesday.

The judge denied his request for a new trial stemming from his 2007 arrest on gun charges. Judge Brinkley cited the reason behind her decision:

“After an in-depth review of the record, court history, notes of testimony, and evidence submitted at the evidentiary hearing, this court hereby denies defendant’s petition for PCRA relief as defendant failed to meet his burden of proof.”

Brinkley originally sentenced Mill to 2-4 years in prison for violating his probation in 2017.
But after a swell of public protests and support from fellow rappers and corporate leaders, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court overturned Judge Brinkley’s sentence in April.
Mill served 5 months of his sentence before he was freed pending today’s hearing.

The judge’s new decision means Mill will be back behind bars. His lawyers plan to appeal the judge’s decision.

“We are not at all surprised by Judge Brinkley‘s decision today. Despite the agreement of the District Attorney’s office on the need for a new trial, and the granting of new trials to other identically situated defendants, Judge Brinkley made clear during the hearing on June 18th that she had already decided the matter,” Mill’s attorney Joe Tacopina told USA TODAY .

Since his much-publicized release from prison in April, Meek has not done much in the way of advocating for prison reform like he promised he would.

He was scheduled to meet with President Trump in May, but he backed out of the visit after receiving a phone call from rapper JAY-Z on behalf of former President Barack Obama.

14 year old boy named Taylor, arrested for sagging his pants in movie theater

A 14-year-old Kansas boy learned a hard lesson about violating laws — even if the law seems unfair or unnecessary. Alonzo Taylor Jr. went to the theater with friends to see the movie Avengers.

Taylor was taken aside by the movie theater manager and advised to pull up his pants or be escorted from the theater, Vlad-TV reports. Sagging pants is a violation of a local ordinance.

Taylor reportedly defied the manager’s request and the police were called. When the police arrived, Taylor put down his snack to pull up his pants, but the Wichita police officer threw away the youth’s snack and cuffed him.

Now Taylor and is mother are making the rounds of local news stations, pleading for justice.

“I just don’t want my son’s record to be messed up over sagging and to be labeled as a trespasser,” said Taylor’s mother, Ruth Dennis.
Police are reviewing surveillance footage of the incident.

Tramadol, the drug supposed to be a narcotic-like pain reliever, to treat moderate or severe pains, is now a household term on the lips of many young individuals across the country.

The youth abuse the medication for sexual gratification and energy purposes. It is added to some drinks or beverages togive a heightened ‘feeling high’ sensation and pleasure. The turnout which is usuallyis death due to an overdose of the drug.

Revered actor Majid Michel has however stated that the intake of the drug is as a result of low self-esteem from the youth. According to him, young people only take the illicit drugs to boost their confidence and act in a manner they would never have considered if they were in their right senses.

“I think we have to tackle it from the root. Ithink most of the youth have lost their sense of identity that is who they are. So they believe if they go to take a drug, it gave them the confidence to do certain things they were not able to do when they are normal and it’s an addiction.”

“It is also an appetite so when they become normal {or] sober, they realize theappetite comes back,” he added. On his part, fellow colleague Prince David Osei was of the view that although the drug is used by the youth to enhance theirpotential, “they don’t need it.

Ace comedian, Ali Baba has reacted to the violence that erupted at the APC ward congress in Ekiti state.

The comedian consequently condemned the country’s democracy, and referred to Nigeria as a ‘lawless and failed country’.

The family of Swedish Producer and DJ, Avicii, whose real name is Tim Bergling, has released a statement concerning his death.

Avicii died last week and the cause of death is yet to be determined.
However, in the statement issued by his family on Thursday, they implied he took his own life.

Former Big Brother Naija finalist, T-Boss has spoken on the relationship between housemates in the just concluded Big Brother Naija reality television show, Tobi and Cee-c.

TBoss, 2017 second runner-up of BBNaija, speaking with NET said she does not think Tobi and Cee-c can have a romantic relationship.
She, however, insisted that they can be friends.

She offered to have a discussion with the duo.

“I will like to talk to Cee-C and probably to Tobi as well. I will like to have a one-on one with those two people.

“I really don’t think they should have a romantic relationship with themselves outside of the house. I think they should patch up and be friends”, Tboss said.

Speaking on emergence of Miracle as the winner of ‘Double Wahala’ Edition, TBoss added that she expected Miracle to emerge as the winner.

“I saw it coming, I wanted him to win. I wasn’t surprised when he won,” she added.

[Korede Bello] explains why he graduated with distinction, speaks on buying result

Mavin artiste, Korede Bello, has debunked claims that he bought his HND result from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.

There were reports on social media suggesting that the Mavin Record star must have paid heavily to get his result.

Bello graduated four days ago from the institute with a distinction in Mass Communication (HND).

At the 5th convocation on Friday, April 20, the Institute presented one thousand three hundred and forty-one (1,341) “graduands of five academic sessions from 2013-2017 sets.”

The HND award list, had Korede Bello among the seven (7) students that graduated with distinction in the 2017 set of the institute.
Apart from that, he was also awarded the best student in “Editorial Writing” by the institute.

Bello, in an Instagram post, narrated why he refused to allow stardom stop him from finishing school.
He wrote, “I initially didn’t want to post this for many reasons, but I was wrong on all counts.
“I’d be doing millions of young people and my peers a disservice by not boldly putting it out there that impossiblity is a myth; you can be Talented and Distinguished; Famous and Dignified; Celebrated and Educated, you can be a MEGA SUPER STAR with a MEGA SUPER VISION. For this I am grateful to God.

“The main reason I endured to the finish line was because I needed to push myself and also to be a light for a lot of young Nigerians who think you cannot be an established Artiste and still achieve academic excellence. I endured because #MyPeople needed a role model.

“A few days before I got signed, I was still looking for tuition fees, so I understand the experience that some of you go through. But just as HE came through for me , HE’ll come through for you.

“No, it wasn’t easy but it was worth it. I was graced and I’m grateful.
“And no,I didn’t buy my result but I paid for it through hard work, commitment and sacrifice (time and music). You can too. I believe in you, I believe in us. #DistinguishedNigerianYouths.”

[Meek Mill] released from prison

American rapper, Meek Mill has been released from prison after being incarcerated for violating his probation.
Meek Mill, who was sentenced after violating his probation on a drug and weapon’s case regained his freedom on Monday.

The Supreme Court of Pennsylvania made the decision to release him following a long legal battle challenging his conviction.
Speaking shortly after his release, Meek Mill told Billboard that “I’d like to thank God, my family, my friends, my attorneys, my team at Roc Nation including JAY-Z, Desiree Perez, my good friend Michael Rubin, my fans.”

He also thanked, “The Pennsylvania Supreme Court and all my public advocates for their love, support and encouragement during this difficult time.

“While the past five months have been a nightmare, the prayers, visits, calls, letters and rallies have helped me stay positive.
“To the Philadelphia District Attorney’s office, I’m grateful for your commitment to justice not only for my case, but for others that have been wrongfully jailed due to police misconduct.”

He further said “although I’m blessed to have the resources to fight this unjust situation, I understand that many people of colour across the country don’t have that luxury and I plan to use my platform to shine a light on those issues.
”In the meantime, I plan to work closely with my legal team to overturn this unwarranted conviction and look forward to reuniting with my family and resuming my music career.”
