Bosa, who was the San Francisco 49ers' top draft pick on Thursday, apologized for a controversial tweet that referred to former 49ers quarterback Kaepernick as a "clown."

Calling his tweet a "bad decision," Bosa said, "I mean, I respect what he's done. If it empowers anybody, then he's doing a good thing, so I apologize for that."

In an interview prior to draft day, Bosa said his agent went through his social media timelines and deleted posts praising Trump and bashing Kaepernick and Beyonce.

In other tweets, Bosa called Beyonce's music "trash" and said the movie Black Panther was the "worst Marvel movie" in the franchise. He also 'liked' Instagram posts that featured the N-word and homophobic slurs.

"I definitely made some insensitive decisions throughout my life," Bosa said. "I'm just excited to be here with a clean slate. I'm sorry if I hurt anybody. I definitely didn't intend for that to be the case."

Bosa said he knew he would go to San Francisco, Kaepernick's former team in a city known for its liberal politics.

"I had to," he said of his decision to scrub the Trump and Kaepernick tweets. "There is a chance I might end up in San Francisco."

"I think me being here is even better for me as a person because I don't think there's any city that will help you grow as much as this one will. I'm going to be surrounded with people, all different kinds. I'm going to grow as a person."

Kaepernick was blacklisted by the NFL for kneeling during the national anthem. He reportedly settled with the NFL for less than $10 million.

President Trump has ordered a federal investigation after Cook County’s top prosecutor dropped all charges in actor Jussie Smollett's hate crime hoax case.

Sources in Chicago tell local news stations that the charges were dropped to protect California Presidential candidate Kamala Harris, who is reportedly a 2nd or 3rd cousin of Smollett's mother, Janet Harris-Smollett.

Among the documents allegedly sealed from public view by a judge are "hundreds" of text messages exchanged between Smollett's family, Cook County prosecutor Kim Foxx, Michelle Obama's former chief of staff, Tina Tchen, and Kamala Harris.

On Wednesday, Deadline.com reported that Fox may "cut their losses" and not bring the actor back if the series is renewed for a final season.

Empire's second season returned to dismal ratings in early March. The ratings have tanked even lower in subsequent weeks.

Meanwhile, Smollett's attorneys are complaining about the negative press coverage and the vocal outrage expressed by Chicago law enforcement and the mayor.

The actor is reportedly furious that the local news media and the public are not ready to view him as an innocent victim.

"We are disappointed the local authorities have continued their campaign against Jussie Smollett after the charges against him have been dropped," said attorney Tina Gladian in an appearance on Good Morning America on Wednesday.

She said she was shocked to hear Chicago PD Superintendent Eddie Johnson and Mayor Rahm Emanuel "double down" on their accusations against Smollett.

"The case is closed. No public official has the right to violate Mr. Smollett's due process rights," she complained.

"Mr. Smollett, like every citizen, is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Mr. Smollett is entitled to the same Constitutional protections as any citizen... including the right to speak freely about his innocence."

She added: "We respectfully request all agencies involved live up to the ethical tenets of their office, state and local law... We should all allow Mr. Smollett to move on with his life as a free citizen."

Regarding the ongoing federal probe into the threatening letter Smollett allegedly mailed to himself, Glandian said "We have nothing to be concerned about."

Now Kanye West, 41, is reportedly preparing to meet with President Trump at the White House on Thursday, Oct. 11, according to The New York Times, via WENN.com .
The “Life of Pablo” rapper will attend a luncheon with Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner at the presidential residence in the White House, before meeting with the mogul-turned-POTUS in the Oval Office.

“Mr. Kushner, who serves as a senior adviser to Mr. Trump, has been focused on overhauling the criminal justice system, and one person briefed on the meeting said that Mr. West wanted to discuss the availability of job opportunities for former convicts,” the New York Times wrote.

“He also hopes to discuss with Mr. Trump how to increase the number of manufacturing jobs in the Chicago area, where Mr. West grew up and recently [returned], according to the person briefed on the meeting.”
It’s not the first time Kanye has met with Trump during his presidency. The rap musician previously showed his support for the tycoon at Trump Tower in New York shortly after Trump was elected president in 2016.

That was… not true.

Melania tweeted the same pic last year! There are plenty of clues in the photo that make it obvious it’s a throwback, even if we didn’t know that. The president and first lady also aren’t wearing the same outfits they donned at the Shanksville, Pennsylvania memorial service. In the photo, Trump is wearing a blue suit and red tie, whereas this year, he wore a black suit and blue tie. 

The First Lady wore a black, belted jacket in 2017. She wore blue in 2018. It’s also sunny in the pic; it was overcast in Washington, DC yesterday. You can also see a Magnolia tree in the background, which was apparently cut down in December 2017. Using this photo was just plain lazy.

US President, Donald Trump’s ex-lawyer to plead guilty for campaign finance violations

Michael Cohen, Donald Trump ’s former personal lawyer, has agreed to plead guilty to charges stemming from a federal investigation of his business dealings and possible campaign finance violations , US media reported Tuesday.

There was no initial confirmation of the plea deal reported by several media including NBC News and The New York Times, or of the specific charges involved , but Cohen was set to appear in Manhattan criminal court at 4 pm (2000 GMT ).

CNN reported that the deal includes prison time for the president ’s long -time fixer , who played a behind - the -scenes role in making hush payments to women who claimed to have had affairs with Trump .
The development came on the same day as a former Trump campaign chairman, Paul Manafort , faced a fourth day of deliberations in his tax evasion and bank fraud trial.

A Cohen guilty plea would avoid a high profile trial, but also could require him to cooperate with investigators probing whether the Trump campaign colluded with Russia in its efforts to sway the 2016 US presidential elections .

Mueller removed Strzok from his team as it became apparent that Strzok and other federal agents, including former F.B.I. lawyer, Lisa Page, demonstrated a hatred for Trump that cast a shadow over their ability to remain impartial and unbiased in their work.

Strzok was also accused of sending highly sensitive national security information to his own personal email account, according to The NY Times. President Trump eagerly announced Strzok’s departure on Twitter.com Monday.

Social media users vented their anger at President Trump’s plan to invite Russian President Vladimir Putin to the White House this fall.

Twitter.com imploded after White House Press secretary Sarah Sanders announced the plan to invite Putin on Twitter.com on Thursday.

The news was not taken lightly by the Democrats who howled their disapproval and disgust after the U.S. president declared Putin did not meddle in the 2016 presidential election.

Trump walked back his statement during a meeting with members of Congress on Tuesday. He said he had misspoken, and he added that Putin should stop meddling in U.S. elections. But Trump also said he looked forward to meeting again with Putin after the two leaders talked in private at the NATO Summit in Helsinki earlier this week.

As liberal news network anchors on CNN screeched about Trump’s plans to invite Putin to Washington, Trump took to Twitter.com to taunt the “many haters who wanted to see a boxing match” between him and Putin.

If Putin accepts the invitation to Washington, D.C., it will be his first visit to the White House in over a decade. Twitter users are still besides themselves, calling Trump a “TRAITOR!” as they vent about the upcoming visit.

“Putin should be held accountable for ordering the Russian attacks on the 2016 election, not invited to the WH right before the next election,” tweeted California Senator Kamala Harris.
