Korede Bello, has revealed that he and label mate, Dr Sid, almost fell off the top of a boss while filming a music video.

The Mavin star made this known in an Instagram post on Friday as he shared behind the scene shots of the music video.

"Chris Brown makes dancing on a bus look so easy but @iamdrsid and I discovered a different story. We almost fell off lol,” he wrote in parts.

Mavin Singer, Korede Bello suggests ways to help the poor, Nigerians react by criticising his lack of hit songs.

Mavin singer, Korede Bello recently took to twitter to write ways one can help the poor and it has gotten the reactions of Nigerians following him on twitter.

The singer who has been off the radar for some time now wrote that one way on how to help the poor around you is to stop being one but that really sit too well with his fans as they tagged his tweet insensitive.

His tweet reads ;

[Korede Bello] explains why he graduated with distinction, speaks on buying result

Mavin artiste, Korede Bello, has debunked claims that he bought his HND result from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.

There were reports on social media suggesting that the Mavin Record star must have paid heavily to get his result.

Bello graduated four days ago from the institute with a distinction in Mass Communication (HND).

At the 5th convocation on Friday, April 20, the Institute presented one thousand three hundred and forty-one (1,341) “graduands of five academic sessions from 2013-2017 sets.”

The HND award list, had Korede Bello among the seven (7) students that graduated with distinction in the 2017 set of the institute.
Apart from that, he was also awarded the best student in “Editorial Writing” by the institute.

Bello, in an Instagram post, narrated why he refused to allow stardom stop him from finishing school.
He wrote, “I initially didn’t want to post this for many reasons, but I was wrong on all counts.
“I’d be doing millions of young people and my peers a disservice by not boldly putting it out there that impossiblity is a myth; you can be Talented and Distinguished; Famous and Dignified; Celebrated and Educated, you can be a MEGA SUPER STAR with a MEGA SUPER VISION. For this I am grateful to God.

“The main reason I endured to the finish line was because I needed to push myself and also to be a light for a lot of young Nigerians who think you cannot be an established Artiste and still achieve academic excellence. I endured because #MyPeople needed a role model.

“A few days before I got signed, I was still looking for tuition fees, so I understand the experience that some of you go through. But just as HE came through for me , HE’ll come through for you.

“No, it wasn’t easy but it was worth it. I was graced and I’m grateful.
“And no,I didn’t buy my result but I paid for it through hard work, commitment and sacrifice (time and music). You can too. I believe in you, I believe in us. #DistinguishedNigerianYouths.”

Korede Bello speaks and performs at Women’s Day Outreach in Uganda

On Thursday 8th March, Mavin Records star Korede Bello headlined at a Women’s Day school outreach at Bethany High School in Naalya, a suburb of Kampala the capital of Uganda.

The outreach was organised by local non-profit Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU), a youth led organisation that focuses on mitigating socio-cultural norms to provide young people with Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights information and life skills, for them to be able to make informed decisions.

The organisation has worked with other leading Nigerian acts before, such as Tiwa Savage, Chidinma and Emmanuel Ikubese. They also boast of a wide base of musical cultural icons dominating the Ugandan scene such as Geosteady, Navio, Naava Grey, Martha Smallz, Allan Toniks and Mun G, so it was only proper that Korede’s was a suited invitation for their outreach.

He started off with an inspirational talk with the musical cultural icons on the eve of the Women’s Day, at a sit down meet held by RAHU at Naguru Skyz Hotel Kampala, a franchise of the Protea Hotels. He reminded the icons that they had to always consider the impact of their music on the audience, especially among the young people who idolize them.

The following day, he joined Navio, Geo steady, Fille,Nutty Neithan, Mun G and Naava Grey to entertain students who had turned up for the outreach. The artistes participated in the informative sessions where they talked to young people about health issues such as menstrual hygiene, teenage pregnancy and relationships, before serenading the crowd with some of their finest tunes.

#EndSARS: Korede Bello Hosts Police Accountability Forum In Lagos

Yesterday, Nigerian pop star Korede Bello through his Initiative hosted a forum on Police Accountability in Lagos barely 24-hours after some Nigerians staged a nationwide protest to end the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, a department of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF that has been accused of recklessness and civilian brutality.

At the forum, Nigerian celebrities including, Ruggedman, Dr Sid, Simi, SoundSultan, Korede Bello and ace broadcaster, Sulaiman Aledeh, noted that the campaignto end SARS is a wrong move but rather a means of reforming SARS should be the talking point.

Police PRO, CSP Jimoh Moshood, and Dolapo Badmos, the Zonal police public relations officer for Lagos and Ogun state who were also present at the event commended the Korede Bello Initiative for the Police Accountability forum and reassured Nigerians that the reform of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad is currently going on.”If you have any complain about any police of SARS officer, report and it will be dealt with appropriately by the Police”, Badmos said.

CSP Moshood also revealed plans taken by Nigeria’s Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris to reform SARS saying, “we have families and we feel your pain, the Special Anti-Robbery Squad reform is currently going on.

SARS reform is the way to go and not to end SARS. SARS has been doing very well in ensuring that robbery crime is reduced to the barest minimum in the country.However, concerns and allegations against them as a regard the violation of human rights are being investigated on the directive of the Inspector General of Police.

The reform that he has put in place is to ensure that SARS is streamlined just as the Mobile Police Force under a unified commander at the Force headquarters who is a commissioner of police”.
