Comedian, Seyi Law revealed - I received about 50 messages from ladies after my divorce prank

Popular comedian, Seyi Law, recently uploaded a sarcastic statement that insinuated he and his wife had gone their separate ways. But a telephone interview with Saturday Beats, the celebrity said after the prank, ladies, about 50 of them, did not wait for the dust to settle before wooing him with text messages.

His message on Instagram had read, “Due to irreconcilable differences would have been enough to announce this, but the kind and beautiful heart of my ex-wife must be stated. She is one of the best women I have ever known. It is however sad, that I announce that my wife and I have decided to part ways for good. We will appreciate your love and support at this time. God bless you. Tiwaloluwa is safe and good.”

This post literally set the social media on fire with fans curious to know the reason behind the development. Seyi Law, however, told one of our correspondents that he was on the plane when the inspiration to play the prank came to him.

“I was going to the UK to visit my wife and promote my show as well. While I was on the plane, I just had that weird idea. I was curious about what people’s reaction would be if they heard that Seyi Law was no longer married. I knew that if I was going to test it, I had to be sarcastic and witty about it.

Comedian Seyi Law, recently took to social media to bait news mongers who are always eager to spread negative news about celebrities.

In what appears to be an experiment to see how many people would fall, he shared a post announcing his fake divorce.

He wrote:

“FAKE NEWS spread faster than wildfire. Due to irreconcilable differences would have been enough to announce this, but the kind and beautiful heart of my ex-wife must be stated. She is one of the best women I have ever known. It is however sad, that I announce that my wife and I have decided to path ways for good. We will appreciate your love and support at this time. While many were praying for the marriage, some fans didn’t find it funny when he later edited the caption to reveal it was a joke.

In another post the comedian uploaded his wife and mother of his daughter, Tiwaloluwa’s picture, apologizing, saying;

I need to apologise to my wife who found the joke highly embarrassing and way out of line. Thanks for bearing my excesses. You are beautiful, kind and definitely the best of your type. God bless you abundantly. I appreciate you always. May God never give us a reason to part ways, but PATH many ways for the future generations to tread.

Josh2Funny Reveals Why He Bought His Friend A Car

Many people were surprised when a video of Instagram comedian, Chibuike Alfred, aka Josh2funny, giving his friend and partner, Bello Kreb, a car, surfaced on the Internet.

In the video, Josh was walking with his friend at a car park when he suddenly pointed towards a Toyota Camry and told his friend it was his.While some felt it was a good deed by the comedian, many others believed that it was a publicity stunt. Some even suggested that Josh should buy himself a car before giving one to his friend.

However, in a chat with Sunday Scoop, Josh2funny revealed that he had bought two cars for himself before deciding to give one to his friend.Tracing the genesis of their relationship.He said:-

When I bought my first car, I did notpost anything about it online neither did I do that for my second car.I just wanted to appreciate my friend for his loyalty. We have been together now for over 10 years. We met at the Mountain of Fire church branch at Mushin, Lagos; we were both in the drama group.“At a time when people in the group went on with their lives, we stuck together. From there, we both joined a dance group.However, at a time, Kreb had an accident that resultedin a dislocation; so, he could not dance again. I then left the group because I was actually there because of him. I also used to be a music producer and we worked together.I had a studio in my parent’s home then and we always did things together. Many times, we would go around Lagos looking for one opportunity or the other. He has always been very loyal to me and it is not out of place for me to appreciate him.”

Meanwhile, Josh also maintained that his comedy brand goes beyond just dressing like a woman.He said:-

In his post he revealed that he is a Naval Officer as well as an Instagram comedian and he is torn between the two worlds as his superiors at work seem not to be in good terms with his choice of living a double life and pester him to choose one – This actually got Comedian Cute Abiola into depression.

He wrote:

I never want to type this but I can’t just hold it anymore.I m in serious pain. And I am in a great fear because I'm not able to focus on my comedy career like before.I am typing this with tears and a lot of depression. If not everybody. I know that some of you know that I am a NIGERIA NAVY PERSONAL. but before I joined this job .i did not think so deep and I was carried away because of some lies I was told.Let me keep that for now! Lack Of Finance - Comedian, Seyi Law says he gained admission to study Medicine twice

Popular Nigerian comedian Seyi Law, who was recently in the news after he bought a house in Lekki area of Lagosas a birthday gift, has disclosed that he once gained admission to study Medicine twice but lack of finance did not allow him to pursue the offers.

According to the stand-up comedian his mum who financed his education, could not afford the fees through medical school,  though he was not explicit on the role his father played.  Seyi Law who eventually studied Computer Science at Lagos State Polytechnic, also had this to say on ‘celebrity breakups’ in the interview with Punch’s correspondent;

“The truth of the matter is that we get to see celebrity break-ups because they are always in thelimelight. We have celebrities that have stayed together in marriages but people hardly talk about them.

They like talking about the bad ones.“Celebrity marriage break-up is like plane crashes. We hardly talk about flights that took off safely and landed safely. So, break-ups happen everywhere in all professions;

but people don’t talk about them because they are not in the limelight.“Marriage institution is sweet and tedious at the same time, we just keep hoping that we’ll keep understanding one another.”On comedy being a lucrative business, Seyi Law said;“A lot of people know that comedy is lucrative. If you see how far I’ve come, then you’ll know how lucrative the profession is. This is basically the business I do.

I got married out of it. I am able to take good careof my family. So, I will say it’s quite good.”Asked what his fans should be expecting from him in the last six months of the year, the ace comedian said the Seyi Law 2018 tour that started in Canadain February and had moved to Dublin and London would continue in Port Harcourt, Abuja and other cities in Nigeria and Africa.

On a man who abused his daughter on social media last year, Seyi said, “We have sorted that out along time ago. Thank God, we were able to come to a comprise.”

Nigerian comedian, Atunyota Akpobome a.k.a Ali Baba has said he was once a bus conductor and had done numerous odd jobs before rising to stardom.

Ali Baba who described himself as hubby, comic, writer, photographer, poet, artist, artiste, actor, motivational speaker, MC and talk show host shared his 30 years experience in the entertainment industry In a recent interview with Channels TV where he said he came into his profession by accident and shared the good, bad and ugly tales of his career.

Speaking of the days when he had to hustle as a young man, Ali Baba said he was once a bus conductor and occasionally used his father’s car to convey people to their respective destinations as a taxi-driver. “I have been a bus conductor before, from Ramah park back to Ogbaazu (in Delta State).“

He said he also occasionally used his dad’s Toyota Crown vehicle to convey people to their respective destinations as a taxi-driver . ”I had my dad’s Toyota Crown.

I will take the car for washing and I would do kabu-kabu (taxi), bribe him by coming with all the newspapers and put on the table, ” he said.

Comedian and TV personality, Owen Gee, has joined the campaign against Nigerians committing suicide.

While speaking at a new initiative,  Live and Not Die, charged with the responsibility of campaigning against suicide, Owen Gee revealed that in 2017, he attempted suicide a couple of times when he passed through very difficult times.

I have had suicidal tendencies. Last year, I tried several things, but they did not work out. It was not because the ideas were bad, but the people I was working with just didn’t let them work out. Then anxiety and depression set in. It was then I realised that no drug could calm depression. There was hardly anyone I didn’t take. There was a time I was sleeping on drugs. There was a particular yellow tablet that, if I took it on Tuesday, on Wednesday I would only be prompted to barely wake up, eat and go back to sleep even before I finished eating. I would not wake up until Thursday.” he said

The comedian said he had to find a way to tackle his depression so he could live life better not just for himself but for his family. He appealed to Nigerians to stop leading fake lives which he said is very prevalent in the entertainment sector which he is a part of.
