Comedian, Seyi Law revealed - I received about 50 messages from ladies after my divorce prank

Popular comedian, Seyi Law, recently uploaded a sarcastic statement that insinuated he and his wife had gone their separate ways. But a telephone interview with Saturday Beats, the celebrity said after the prank, ladies, about 50 of them, did not wait for the dust to settle before wooing him with text messages.

His message on Instagram had read, “Due to irreconcilable differences would have been enough to announce this, but the kind and beautiful heart of my ex-wife must be stated. She is one of the best women I have ever known. It is however sad, that I announce that my wife and I have decided to part ways for good. We will appreciate your love and support at this time. God bless you. Tiwaloluwa is safe and good.”

This post literally set the social media on fire with fans curious to know the reason behind the development. Seyi Law, however, told one of our correspondents that he was on the plane when the inspiration to play the prank came to him.

“I was going to the UK to visit my wife and promote my show as well. While I was on the plane, I just had that weird idea. I was curious about what people’s reaction would be if they heard that Seyi Law was no longer married. I knew that if I was going to test it, I had to be sarcastic and witty about it.

Lack Of Finance - Comedian, Seyi Law says he gained admission to study Medicine twice

Popular Nigerian comedian Seyi Law, who was recently in the news after he bought a house in Lekki area of Lagosas a birthday gift, has disclosed that he once gained admission to study Medicine twice but lack of finance did not allow him to pursue the offers.

According to the stand-up comedian his mum who financed his education, could not afford the fees through medical school,  though he was not explicit on the role his father played.  Seyi Law who eventually studied Computer Science at Lagos State Polytechnic, also had this to say on ‘celebrity breakups’ in the interview with Punch’s correspondent;

“The truth of the matter is that we get to see celebrity break-ups because they are always in thelimelight. We have celebrities that have stayed together in marriages but people hardly talk about them.

They like talking about the bad ones.“Celebrity marriage break-up is like plane crashes. We hardly talk about flights that took off safely and landed safely. So, break-ups happen everywhere in all professions;

but people don’t talk about them because they are not in the limelight.“Marriage institution is sweet and tedious at the same time, we just keep hoping that we’ll keep understanding one another.”On comedy being a lucrative business, Seyi Law said;“A lot of people know that comedy is lucrative. If you see how far I’ve come, then you’ll know how lucrative the profession is. This is basically the business I do.

I got married out of it. I am able to take good careof my family. So, I will say it’s quite good.”Asked what his fans should be expecting from him in the last six months of the year, the ace comedian said the Seyi Law 2018 tour that started in Canadain February and had moved to Dublin and London would continue in Port Harcourt, Abuja and other cities in Nigeria and Africa.

On a man who abused his daughter on social media last year, Seyi said, “We have sorted that out along time ago. Thank God, we were able to come to a comprise.”

[Seyi Law] Efe spoke out of anger, let’s forgive him

Nigerian comedian, Seyi Law has called on fans to forgive the statement made by Efe, the winner of the 2017 edition of big brother naija.

Efe had taken to twitter to slam those who say they regret voting for him and are always criticizing his music with claims that he ought not to have dabbled into music cos he lacks the talent for it.

According to Efe -
For all those saying they regret voting for me, i entertained you and your money expired the day the show ended.

With tonnes of backlash coming the way of the reality tv star, comedian seyi law had to come to his defense by stating that fans should forgive him cos he must have said those words out of anger. The comedian made the statement on Instagram where he said:

When the world hurts you in criticism in the name of fans and wants you to take it in good faith, forgetting that words kill faster than the guns, but won’t take your words in the same light.

When the world makes a man lose his willpower to his own choice and don’t expect him to fight back, but would prefer he is drained in their own choice. The sadness and fear that enveloped me is killing.

There is no doubt there is a place for the fans and as an artiste, you must be cautious of how you walk there. @efemoney has spoken out of anger and made a mistake which might be justified, but could be avoided. We all make mistakes and he who is above them can crucify me. He has chosen a path for himself and you care too much trying to help him avoid mistakes, don’t be the one to make him make more of it.

Let’s forgive him and let him grow and he might just learn to do it right or decide to let it get all go, but let him have a say in his own life. I apologise on his behalf to those hurt and hope we can all embrace peace.

Comedian, Seyi Law reacts to the death ofa 10-year-old boy during the Ekeukwu market demolition in Imo state

Comedian, Seyi Law took to his Instagram page to react to the death of a 10-year-old boy during the demolition Ekeukwu market in Imo state.

According to him, the government of Nigeria is making a monster outof his people and that the bomb being built in the country will soonexplode with nowhere to run to. Read what he wrote below...

This was probably the saddest picture I saw on theinternet last week and waited to hear the Governor's reaction to the killing of unarmed civilians during a demolition exercise, but I am still waiting. This is a huge problem in Nigeria, we keep mute at the death of people and that's why Jungle justice prevails. No prosecution, No statement and the family, friends and well wishers of the victims grow with vengeance in their hearts.The Government of this Nation make monsters out of his people and when the day of reckoning comes, they will want to demonize them.

Hmmmmm. The bombs we are building in this Nation will someday explode and we will have nowhere to run. Imagine the kind of seed they have sownin this little girl. She might forgive, but forgetting will be very hard.Our Government need to do more and the citizens have to be more vocal. Silence, I maintain is not always golden.

Our National time bomb is ticking and our President is not so diplomatic in his statements, issuing threats in a volatile situation instead of been persuasive. Just my thoughts. God help us all.

Comedian Seyi Law has weighed on the viral collage photo of the prize money of Big Brother Naija 2017 winner, Efe and abest graduating student from UNN.

“I saw this picture and read a lot of comments on it and I had a good laugh. We don’t seem torealise that BBN is business that brings returns and profit to the organisers while Prize giving is just a CSR for the giving party which is not compulsory by any means.We talk about how Educational events gets less sponsors and low reward prizes and we blameeverybody but ourselves.

May I ask when last we watched ” Who wants to be a millionaire”?
