Exclusive: Gospel Singer, Sammie Okposo blasts Comedian, Akpororo

Popular gospel singer, Sammie Okposo believes in ‘practicing what you preach.’ And that’s why he came down heavily on comedian cum gospel artiste, Akpororo for taking off his shirt while performing at a street praise Jamz in Lagos.

Akpororo, who’s known for his radical praises on the street performed at an end of the year concert. The comedian had taken off his shirt at some point and this did not go down well with singer Sammie Okposo as he took to his Instagram page to condemn Akpororo for the act.

“Why did you remove your shirt?,”he queried before going ahead to blast the fiery worshipper for the act.” Akpororo wetin make you remove your shirt!!! Why yo go remove your shirt on top a strictly gospel music stage. This is an alter of praise and worship unto God, this is not funny at all. This is totally wrong and out of order,”Okposo wrote. Interestingly, he has since deleted his comment and acknowledged his error.

Comedian, Akpororo Buys Friend's Father A Car

Akpororo has bought his friend's father a car. According to the comedian, his friend's father welcomed him, into their home when his son brought him home and he lived with them for years.

To appreciate what the man has done, the comedian decided to buy him a Toyota Camry car. Akpororo's words; ''He’s complaining about TV set but he didn’t know God has abigger plan for him, he thought I bought the car for myself but little did he know that the car belongs to him. Special introduction #roronation that’s MR OLUWOLE he accepted me with love into his house many years ago when his son (gbenga) brought me to him and I stayed with them for years, thanks for being a FATHER and for believing in me, thanks forallowing God to use you in my life. Recall few weeks ago, he also bought his mom a car on her birthday.

Comedian Akpororo has gotten a street named after him.

He took to IG to share a photo of the street and wrote;

I’m nothing without God that’s why I don’t brag, favour and grace speak for me. Every month I dance and praise God from street to street #streetpraisetoday I’m bless with one. My life is a testimony #rorohouse #roro

Comedian Akpororo is a proud dad of three – a cute set of twins and first daughter. Check out the adorable photo of the trio in matching outfits he shared on his Instagram page at about3am today.

Comedian cum gospel singer, Jephthah Bowoto, popularly known as Akpororo, welcomed his first child with wife, Josephine Ijeoma Onuabughuchi, on August 30th, 2016.Then in April 2018,his set of twins, a baby boy and girl, arrived.

The naming ceremony of histwins took place yesterday April 22nd – the babies were named Favor and Faith.Akpororo tied the knot with his wife on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Eagles Club,Surulere, Lagos. Akpororo met Josephine in 2014 and they started dating in 2015. He proposed to her August 2.When time came for Akpororo to build his house, despite his wealth and people thinking he would go fora highbrow area, Akpororo chose the Okokomaiko area of Lagos.

His reason for doing that:I tell people that if you like what you see in Lekki, Magodo or Victoria Island, you can recreate it wherever you stay. That is what I did. Okokomaiko is not a place you should be afraid of living.Even in Lekki that we think is a place for therich alone, there are some parts of the area that are not nice.I was born on the streets, so I cannot be harassed. I walk freely without fear.

I also go to the field to play football with friends in the evening. The reason bad things happen to people is that their minds are full of evil. My belief is that anything you think of would come to pass in your life. In anything I do in life, I always look at the positive side.Okokomaiko is where I choose to live; it is my plan. If God asks me to move, I will surely move. For now,this is where I love and I believe being in the area gives hope topeople.

I organise a monthly programme tagged, Street Praise, where we come together to praise andthank God. We dance and encourage each other. I just love the place. I feel there is something about that area that makes people work hard.I am not interested in living in Lekki or Magodo for now. When the time comes,I will go there.

Akpororo and wife celebrate their 2nd wedding anniversary

Comedian Akpororo and his wife are today celebrating their 2nd wedding anniversary.

The couple, who just last month moved into their newly built mansion on the island got married on November 14, 2015.
