CELEBRITY! Drake Is Most Consistent, YMCMB Artist, Birdman
Regardless of how you feel about Birdman, he’s built an empire and brought so many different artists into the game.
From his early days of the Hot Boys and Lil Wayne to more recent signings like Jacquees, it’s hard to deny Birdman’s ear for talent. However, when it comes to consistency in the game, Birdman believes Drake’s been the most consistent artist on the YMCMB roster.
Birdman sat down with Rap-Up TV and praised Drake for his work ethic and what he’s brought to the YMCMB camp.
“He got so many songs. He a workaholic, though, you heard me? Drake kept this shit alive for the last four or five years, consistently. Nicki do her thing also but he’s been the most consistent Young Money/Cash Money artist.” He said.
The interview, as Complex pointed out, was done a few months back prior to Drake claiming he was out of his deal on Scorpion cut, “Is There More.”
Birdman also recalled the conversation he had with Drake where the Toronto rapper foreshadowed his success in the music industry.
“Drake’s just a talent, he’s a monster in his own room. He’s a monster in a building.” Birdman stated, “I had talks with Drake about these days and now, it’s becoming reality. You just gotta sit back and let him do his thing.”
He continued, “I knew Drake would be successful. But like I said to you, until you experience it, you don’t know what it is.”
