EXCLUSIVELY, FORMER U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA WRITES LETTER TO NIPSEY HUSSLE

Former U.S. president BARAK OBAMA wrote a heartfelt letter to NIPSEY HUSSLE. The missive was read by Karen Civil, the late rapper’s business partner, at the memorial service on Thursday (April 11) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

At the memorial, Civil read the letter addressed to Hussle’s family and friends, which read in part, “Nipsey saw potential, he saw hope, he saw a community that taught him to always keep going."

"I'd never met Nipsey Hussle, but I'd heard some of his music through my daughters, and after his passing," the letter begins. "I had the chance to learn more about his transformation and community work."

"While most folks look at the Crenshaw neighborhood where he grew up and see only gangs, bullets, and despair, Nipsey saw potential. He saw hope. He saw a community that, even through its flaws, taught him to always keep going," he continued. "His choice to invest in that community rather than ignore it...is a legacy worthy of celebration."

"I hope his memory inspires more good work in Crenshaw and communities like it," he concluded.

Dozens of celebrities and public figures lost millions of followers in a purge of fake accounts on Twitter.com.

Former President Barack Obama lost over 2.3 million followers after Twitter purged fake accounts on the social media platform Thursday.

Other celebrities such as singers Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift lost 2.7 million followers and 2.3 million followers respectively.

President Donald Trump lost 300,000 followers, dropping his follow count to 53.1 million.
Twitter announced it was purging millions of fake accounts after a media outlet published an expose revealing the staggering number of celebrities and politicians who buy million of followers on social media.

Accounts that are dormant for over 30 days are also being purged.

Obama Most Admired Man Among Americans- Poll

Former US president Barack Obama is the most admired man in the United States and former secretary of state Hillary Clinton the most admired woman, according to a poll published on Wednesday Dec 27.

Obama came out on top of the annual Gallup survey for the 10th year in a row while Clinton, who lost last year's presidential election to Donald Trump, was named the most admired woman for the 16th straight year.

Seventeen per cent of the Americans polled said Obama was the man they admired most, down from 22 per cent last year. Trump was second with 14 per cent followed by Pope Francis with 3 per cent.

Nine per cent of those polled said Clinton was their most admired woman followed by former US First Lady Michelle Obama with 7 per cent and talk show host Oprah Winfrey with 4 per cent.

Gallup said the poll of 1,049 adults was conducted between Dec 4-11 and has a margin of error of plus or minus four percentage points.
