Rumor Control: Selena Gomez Is Not Dating Niall Horan
After the two had a few interesting interactions, rumors spread like wildfire that Selena Gomez and Niall Horan were an item. It turns out that they are just really good friends.
Although the stars have many things in common like coming from a cookie-cutter background and having a loyal fan base, the Selena and Niall are not seeing each other romantically.
Horan was seen with his arm around the 27-year-old’s shoulders at an intimate dinner with friends which sparked talk that they may be giving their 2015 flirtationship another go. Especially considering soon after — Gomez uploaded a video of her blasting Horan’s latest single.
But an insider told E! News what’s really going on between the two.
‘Selena and Niall are not dating and have been hanging out as friends. They have always been good friends and have kept in touch throughout the years.’
The pop star is currently focused on creating new music more so now than ever after the eventful few years that she’s had.
The source went on to spill more details: ‘Selena has truly had a transformative year. She feels more stable and healthy than she has in the last couple of years and has been on a great path. Her overall health has increased tremendously. She has a new approach to every aspect of her life and wants to maintain a low-key lifestyle. She is focused on her health, family, friends and putting out new music. She has been working in the studio and putting a lot of effort into putting out new music, which she hopes to be out in the early new year.’
They went on to speak about the group of friends she has to keep her grounded.
Gomez’s new album is expected to address her on and (permanently) off relationship with Justin Bieber, her health, and her battle with depression and anxiety.
