Shaunie O’Neal Delivers Semi Apology After ‘Basketball Wives’ Is Accused Of Racism And Colorism Because Of The Ogom ‘OG’ Chijindu And Evelyn Lozada Feud

Shaunie O’Neal has gone on record defending Basketball Wives amidst recent accusations that have been thrown around by castmate Ogom ‘OG’ Chijindu, who claimed that the show was being racist and excluding.

And while this is not the first time fans have seen such sentiments expressed in public regarding the production, it does not seem like most people on the set of Basketball Wives actually agree.

O’Neal has not been the only one to express similar views defending the production, and it looks like this could turn into quite the scandal in the near future.

Indeed, things have been getting quite heated, and some have speculated that the production might be headed in a very bad direction.

OG was even reportedly kept away during a recent filming session. However, the showrunners have tried to justify their actions by explaining that this was done for safety reasons, and not out of any desire to “segregate” the people involved in the production.

O’Neal said she was sorry OG feels like “she’s being mistreated but vehemently denies the colorism claim,” according to TMZ.

Not many seem to be buying that explanation, however, and it looks like the discontent with the current state of Basketball Wives has been growing in some parts of the show’s community.

Whether these sentiments will change in the future or not is hard to tell, but it certainly does not look like anyone involved with the show is putting any effort into making that happen.

Quite on the contrary, most people seem to be fine with the current state of affairs, which has been a bit of a worrying trend.

One person had this reaction: “Smh you so damn biased it doesn’t make any sense you should just produce behind the camera and let them do them because you make your own show difficult af !!! Nobody allowed to call Shaunie out, but yet she’s allowed to make fun and call them out .”

Another person bashed the businesswoman: “How ironic coming from a woman who profits off of the exploitation of other black women.Disappointed in how you singled out OG after Jackie, Malaysia, and Evelyn have fought numerous times on your show.”

This follower explained: “You should really be ashamed of yourself, old bitter bully!!! You let everybody bully OG, and when she reacts, she is aggressive? Boycott Basketball Wives. ”

A fourth commenter shared: “You have little ladies growing up in a world full of @evelynlozada. I loved you ladies, but right is right, and yes, Og y’all her crap or even SAY what she would do to someone, but never not once reacted to it. @evelynlozada, please go have several seats your daughter act more mature than you. I’m over it. Shaunie girl, I still love you, but you gotta put her in her place and let her know that SHE TO! is beneath you.”
