Cuba Gooding Jr. ‘Living In The Moment’ After Groping Trial Gets Rescheduled
Cuba Gooding Jr. says he wants to just focus on ‘living in the moment’ in the aftermath of his trial being postponed. As you may know, the actor has been accused by a woman of groping her and now, the case is being investigated further.
Amid his problems with the law, the 51 year old star is apparently, trying his best to stay positive and keep his head high.
Cuba was accused of sexually harassing a 30 year old woman at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge in Manhattan.
The crime that consisted of the American Crime Story star groping the woman, allegedly took place back in June.
His trial was expected to start on September 3 but just minutes into it, it was rescheduled.
As for the reason, it looks like prosecutors and Deputy District Attorney Jenna Long declared there was more evidence they were waiting on.
While in attendance at the Elle Women In Music Event, the actor chatted with HollywoodLife, sharing his perspective on the whole situation.
‘I think to live in the moment. Don’t look too far ahead in the future. I think every time there’s a tragedy in my life…you always take for granted what’s happening at the moment, and then the tragedy hits and then the day after the tragedy, you always look back and go, man, the day before that I was just carefree. So now I just like, this moment, this interview, just to enjoy it. Appreciate it, and move on.’
It turns out that it was his father who taught him to live in the moment.
He’d supposedly tell him to ‘Just try to enjoy every day like it’s your last day. My father taught me that.’
