Rhoda Actress Valerie Harper Dead At Age 80 After Long Cancer Battle

Hollywood lost another icon today. Rhoda actress Valerie Harper is dead at age 80 following her long battle with cancer.

Cristina Cacciotti, Harper’s daughter, broke the news on Twitter by sharing a statement from her father, Tony Cacciotti.

“My dad has asked me to pass on this message: “My beautiful, caring wife of nearly 40 years has passed away at 10:06 am, after years of fighting cancer. She will never, ever be forgotten. Rest In Peace, mia Valeria. -Anthony,” read the note.

Harper was best known as wisecracking straight-shooter Rhoda Morgenstern, who was the best friend of Mary Tyler Moore’s on the hit sitcom. The actress, as well as the character, were so popular Harper and Rhoda got their own spin-off. She won four Emmy Awards and one Golden Globe for her portrayal of Rhoda.

Once Rhoda was finished, Harper went on to star in several sitcoms, including Valerie. She also gave her talent to several TV movies over the past couple of decades. Even after Harper got sick, her career continued to thrive. Harper even stepped back into the role of Rhode reuniting with Mary Tyler Moore again in the TV movie, Mary and Rhoda.

The beloved actress has been battling cancer since 2009 when she had a tumor removed from her right lung. In 2013, Harper was diagnosed with a form of brain cancer called leptomeningeal carcinomatosis. She was given months to live. Less than a year later, she was considered to be in remission, but it would not be the end of her cancer battle.

Tony was Harper’s beloved husband. They spent nearly 40-years together. He shared a few weeks ago that despite doctors suggestions, Tony had no intentions of letting his wife live out her last few days in hospice. It was a tough decision, but Tony knew he could not leave the great love of his life.

News of Harper’s death has caused an outpour of tributes to the lovely actress. Social media has been flooded with grief, condolences, and words honoring the strong woman. Alyssa Milano, Ed Asner, Marlee Matlin, Cyndi Lauper and more have all expressed their thoughts on losing the great actress.

The great Valerie Harper died today at age 80 after years of battling cancer. Her legacy will never be forgotten by those who knew her personally and those who admired her extradentary acting talents.

James Kennedy Says He Is Glad Lisa Vanderpump Left The ‘Toxic’ RHOBH

It turns out that the positive changes in Lisa Vanderpump ever since she left Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are pretty obvious! The Vanderpump Rules stars have definitely noticed and that includes James Kennedy!

According to him, it’s as if a huge ‘weight has been lifted’ from his former boss’ shoulders and he is glad she decided to leave RHOBH.

The whole atmosphere on the show was ‘toxic,‘ for her, he tells HollywoodLife during a brand new interview.

During the chat, he updated the many fans on how Lisa has been doing ever since she left Real Housewives.

As you may know, he and her adopted son, Max Todd are very good friends which means that he continued to also be close to Lisa.

‘For me it’s hard to notice those things because when she’s around me it’s really mainly my thing, that we are talking about not necessarily her thing. I’m like I’m a literal kid to her. I’m Max’s best friend still, she looks at me different. But yes, I think a weight must have been lifted, it was a toxic environment for her and she doesn’t deserve any of that,’ James dished to the news outlet.

Before she quit RHOBH, she would refuse to shoot any scenes with the other ladies, throughout the whole season!

This was a result of the whole PuppyGate scandal that really created a rift between Lisa and her fellow castmates, with all turning against her.

In the end, she felt like it was enough, especially since they refused to believe her even after taking a lie detector test, so Lisa decided to leave the show.

Billie Eilish, 17, Blasts Nylon Germany for Photoshopping Her Into Topless Cover: 'I Did Not Consent'

Billie Eilish has found a new bad guy.

The newly minted VMA-winner blasted Nylon Germany this week for posting a photoshopped picture of Eilish that she says she had no idea was going to be published.

In the since-deleted post, Eilish appears on what appears to be a digital cover for the publication. The photo shows Eilish’s likeness, but without any hair (or a shirt, though the photo is only of her shoulders and above) and with her skin appearing metallic.

While the picture no longer appears on Nylon Germany‘s Instagram, they have posted similar photos featuring German social media stars Lisa and Lena, calling their depiction in the caption “digital avatars.”

Eilish’s comments were captured by the Comments by Celebs account, and the “Bad Guy” singer didn’t hold back.

“what the f— is this s—,” Eilish began her comment, going on to list what she found wrong with the picture.

“1. i was never approached by nylon about this piece whatsoever. i did not know it was happening nor did anyone on my team,” she wrote. “2. this is not even a real picture of me. i had absolutely no creative input.”

What Eilish seemed to be most upset about was the fact that she was depicted without a shirt in the photo — and the singer pointed out that she’s still underage at 17.

“3. youre gonna make a picture of me shirtless?? thats not real?? at 17? and make it the cover???? even if the picture was supposed to look like some robot version of me… i did not consent in any way,” she said.

The kicker was the fact that Eilish appeared bald in the photo: “4. ANNNDDD YOU’RE GONNA REMOVE ALL MY FUCKIN HAIR? booooooooooo to you,” she added, topping off the comment with a middle finger emoji.

Nylon did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment, and Nylon Germany could not be reached. However, the American branch of the magazine responded on Twitter, saying that they disagreed with the decision to “appropriate” Eilish’s image.

“Nylon America is a different company than Nylon Germany and we strongly disagree with their decision to appropriate Billie Eilish’s image without her consent. Nylon America is very sorry to Billie and her fans,” the magazine said.

“We love Billie and everything she stands for,” their statement added. “Her message to young women is important and we vow to continue to help spread it appropriately.”

Rexha opened up about the track and turning 30, telling PEOPLE on Thursday, “I was really scared to write a song, like, ‘Hey, I’m 30. I don’t care what anybody says.'”

“All my life, when I ask my mom’s friends, the thing was: ‘Don’t ask a woman her age.’ That’s what I was told all my life. I was talking to my friend, and I really wanted to write about the things I’m scared of, my insecurities, so that’s where it came from,” Rexha explained.

“The songs are a series of things I’m super insecure about: Will I end up being alone? The way that I look. Losing all my friends. Just a whole bunch of things that I’m insecure about that I’ve now made into songs. I’m a drama queen. I love drama.”

As for how she’s dealt with those insecurities, Rexha said, “I think it’s just talking to yourself in a certain way.”

“I can wake up one day and I might feel like s—. Like, I might eat something really bad … Last night I had Thai food and was super bloated. But I woke up and I worked out. I still felt like s— today, but you know what — it’s Madison Square Garden, it’s my birthday coming up, I’ve gotta not let myself get in my head.”

“Because what you feed yourself is what happens. If you’re just negative all day, that’s how your day’s gonna end up. Even if it’s the best day ever, you’re gonna still have that negative sheen over it,” Rexha continued.

“I just force myself to say nice things to myself and ignore the bad thoughts.”

How Valerie Harper's Husband Tony Cacciotti Was Undyingly Devoted to Her Until the End

While Valerie Harper struggled in her final months of life, her husband, Tony Cacciotti, was persistent in his eternal support of his wife of 32 years.

Harper, best known for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern on The Mary Tyler Moore Showdied on Friday at the age of 80, PEOPLE confirms, after years of battling health issues including leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, lung cancer and brain cancer.

Her family confirmed to ABC7 that she died 10:06 a.m. The cause of death was not immediately known.

Although Harper’s health slowly began to deteriorate in the past several months, Cacciotti, 78, took it upon himself to ensure that his wife was as comfortable as possible in some of the final moments of her life.

Last month, Cacciotti revealed how doctors had advised that his wife be moved to hospice care amid her battle with cancer.

Despite their professional opinion, Cacciotti said he was not willing to listen to them because of how much he adored Harper and vowed to do what he deemed best for his wife.

“I have been told by doctors to put Val in Hospice care and I can’t and I won’t because of the amazing good deeds she has graced us with while she’s been here on earth,” he wrote in a Facebook post on July 23.

While the couple’s friend Deanna started a GoFundMe on Harper’s behalf over a month before her death, the page, which had raised over $66,100 from Harper’s friends, family, and beloved fans, was shut down after members of the entertainment industry stepped forward to help with Harper’s medical expenses.

“She did so much for so many people and once they heard what was happening, they all started coming forward,” Cacciotti told PEOPLE about the support he and Harper have received. “Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine it would happen like this. It’s really amazing.”

“I just didn’t want to put her into hospice care and now we’re going to be able to keep her here at home,” Cacciotti added. “She’s hanging in there. We have good days and we have tough days.”

The actress was diagnosed with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis in 2013, just four years after she beat lung cancer in 2009. The condition occurs when cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain, known as the meninges.

At the time of her diagnosis, doctors told her she only had three months to live, but Harper beat the odds and continued to live well beyond their expectations by six years.

Because of how unbelievably rare her story was, Cacciotti refused to give up on his wife.

“We will continue going forward as long as the powers above allow us, I will do my very best in making Val as comfortable as possible,” Cacciotti wrote in the July Facebook post. “There are two special ANGELS on this planet masquerading as humans who live and work together, that have made it possible to have all of Val’s needs taken care of.”

“For those of you who have been in this position, you will totally understand that ‘it’s hard letting go,’” he continued. “So as long as I’m able and capable, I’ll be where I belong right beside her.”

“Many, many thanks for your outpouring of kindness and support,” Cacciotti finished before signing the note with “Tony”.

Harper married Cacciotti, who who was her former fitness advisor, in 1987, nine years after she finalized her divorce with her first husband, actor Richard Schaal.

When she first met Cacciotti, Harper told PEOPLE in 1980, “I thought, ‘What a beautiful, giving teacher.’ Although I’m a feminist and think it’s terrific to call a man if you’re comfortable, I don’t do it. I don’t set my cap for a guy unless he makes the first move.”

They were together until the end and had a daughter, Christina. In 2000, when their daughter was 16, Harper told PEOPLE that the two “have a great relationship so far” — while her husband pointed out that Harper could be a mom even to strangers.

“She talks to everyone at the supermarket,” said Cacciotti, “listens to their problems and tries to solve them.”

In 2014 — one year after she was told she had as little as three months to live — Harper told PEOPLE she was at peace with her diagnosis.

“I’m ready. I’m ready to go,” she said. “Maybe that’s the secret. That I’m absolutely — I don’t want to, my God, I want to live to be 102. … But I am not banking on anything, really, because we shouldn’t. We don’t know what’s around the corner. I think you just take each day and get the best out of it and do what you can and have fun.”

Ed Asner Speaks Out After 'Great Friend' Valerie Harper's Death: 'Goodnight Beautiful'

Ed Asner is paying tribute to his late costar and “great friend,” Valerie Harper.

Following the sad news that Harper had died at the age of 80 following a long battle with cancer, Asner honored the actress in a touching statement obtained by PEOPLE.

“Valerie was a brilliant artist with a myriad of ideas on how to make the character more interesting; and was a fighter for those less fortunate,” said Asner, 89.

The actor also shared an emotional post on Twitter, where he called Harper “a beautiful woman, a wonderful actress, a great friend and with balls bigger than mine.”

Harper, who played one of TV’s most popular and enduring characters — the constantly dating, constantly dieting Rhoda Morgenstern — for nearly a decade starting in 1970, died Friday, PEOPLE confirmed.

The star died at 10:06 a.m., her family confirmed to ABC7. Her cause of death was not immediately known.

Harper had been battling a number of health issues over the past few years, including leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, lung cancer and brain cancer.

In late July, Asner shared a tweet honoring Harper, just two days after the actress’ husband Tony Cacciotti revealed that doctors had advised her to be moved to hospice care.

“My heart goes out to @ValerieHarper and her husband Tony,” Asner wrote. “I hope you feel my love coming at you like a tidal wave.”

Harper was diagnosed with leptomeningeal carcinomatosis in 2013, just four years after she beat lung cancer. The condition occurs when cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain, known as the meninges.

At the time of her diagnosis, doctors told her she only had three months to live, but Harper beat the odds and continued to live well beyond their expectations by six years.

Court Warns Fergie and Josh Duhamel of Dismissing Their Divorce Unless Documents Are Filed

Fergie and Josh Duhamel might remain married if they don’t act soon.

A California court warned the two their divorce case runs the risk of being dismissed if they don’t file court documents before their court hearing on Oct. 16, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.

Reps for Fergie, 44, and Duhamel, 46, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The former couple have to file a declaration of disclosure before the court date, otherwise “the Court may dismiss your case for delay,” according to the documents.

However, if the two file the required documents, they don’t need to appear in court.

Fergie filed for divorce from Duhamel in May almost two years after the two announced their split.

They announced their separation after eight years of marriage in a joint statement to PEOPLE in September 2017.

“With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the two said. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public.”

They added, “We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family.”

While the Transformers star and Fergie may no longer be together, the two have maintained a friendly relationship.

“Fergie and I had a great relationship. I love that girl and I always will. Unfortunately, we didn’t work. But I will always have her back and she is the mother of my baby,” he said while on the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard in December 2018.

Hannah Brown Throws Some Serious Shade At Tyler Cameron And Gigi Hadid Amid Their Romance

During a brand new interview, Hannah Brown did not hold anything back when she mentioned Tyler Cameron’s rumored relationship with supermodel Gigi Hadid. Here’s what the Bachelorette star had to say!

While taking Cosmopolitan’s Expensive Taste Test and sipping some champagne, Hannah brought up her engagement: ‘Do y’all remember that one time I was engaged?’

This was a reference to Jed Wyatt, who she split from after finding out he was in a relationship already when he joined The Bachelorette.

The sass did not end there. She took another sip of her drink and added: ‘Do you remember that one time I got un-engaged?’

Then, it was finally Tyler Cameron’s turn to be shaded.

As fans know, he was her runner-up on the show but, after breaking up with Jed, Hannah ended up asking him on a date!

‘Do you remember that one time I then asked another person out on a date? On national television? After I got un-engaged? And then… just read the tabloids.’

Naturally, she was talking about the many dates Cameron and Hadid have been on lately that have definitely made many headlines.

Tyler and Hannah did go on that one date but not too long after, he started being seen with Gigi more and more instead.

He was even caught leaving her pad in New York City earlier this month!

As you can imagine, the Bachelorette fans wish Tyler and Hannah were a thing but at this point in time, it doesn’t seem like that is going to happen.

Apparently, he and Gigi are getting pretty serious.

Tyler even met the model’s mom Yolanda Hadid as she took him to her farm in Pennsylvania.

One insider previously shared with HollywoodLife that even though they are in the beginning stages of their romance, ‘Tyler and Gigi really are smitten with each other.’

Simone Biles’ Brother Tevin Arrested On Triple Murder Charges – Gymnast Tweets Message To Fans

Simone Biles’ brother Tevin has been arrested on triple murder charges, in connection with a New Year’s Eve shooting.

People magazine is reporting 24-year-old Tevin Biles-Thomas has been charged with murder, voluntary manslaughter, felonious assault, and perjury. The magazine received a statement from the Cleveland police, where the shooting allegedly took place.

Police shared on the night of December 31, 2018, a shooting leaving three people dead took place around 10:30 PM. The statement explains some “uninvited guests” entered the party, and an altercation occurred between invited and uninvited groups.

Gunfire broke out immediately with several shots fired, leaving three people dead. Delvante Johnson, age 19, Toshaun Banks, age 21, and Devaughn Gibson age 23, were killed in the shooting based on the police report. After a lengthy investigation, police have determined Tevin was the shooter.

Tevin is currently in the Army and stationed at Fort Stewart in Georgia. He joined the military in 2014. Records for Liberty County Sheriff’s Office in Georgia indicate bond has not been set for Tevin.

Although a rep for Simone has not issued a statement, the 22-year-old Olympic gymnast did send out a Tweet with a message to her fans.

“Eating my feelings don’t talk to me,” she shared hours after Tevin’s arrest news broke.

The Gold Medal winner has spoken about her brother and his military career over the years on social media. She wished him luck when he joined the Army and began his new journey.

Tevin and Simone did not grow up in the same house. Their biological mother placed them along with, sisters Ashley and Adria in foster care when they were young children due to issues with drugs and alcohol.

Simone and Adria were adopted by their grandparents, while Tevin and Ashley were raised by a great aunt. It is unclear how close the proud gymnast is to her older brother, who is in major trouble with the law.

The family drama comes two weeks after Simone made history when she attempted and landed a double-double dismount from the beam at the U.S. Gymnastics Championship in Kansas City, Missouri. She is expected to be front and center in Tokyo next summer for the 2020 Olympics.

While Simone Biles is making history and training for her next run at a gold medal, her older brother Tevin Biles-Thomas is facing prison for a triple murder.

What to Know About Madeleine Westerhout, Trump’s Personal Assistant Who Reportedly Resigned

By now, you’ve probably seen the name Madeleine Westerhout splashed across headlines after her reported resignation from the White House this week — but hers might be a name you haven’t heard before.

Westerhout was a Trump staffer with one of the longest tenures before her resignation this week, The New York Times reported, as the 28-year-old began working for the president during his transition into the White House.

The Southern California native reportedly disclosed “private details” about the Trump family and “gossiped” about “TV news personalities” seeking access to Trump while drinking during an off-the-record dinner with journalists in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey, sources told CBS News.

This all reportedly happened on Thursday, when Trump was on vacation, and Westerhout was not allowed to return to the White House on Friday, the New York Times reported.

After what the newspaper calls her “abrupt and unexpected departure” from Trump’s inner circle, here’s what you need to know about Westerhout.

She was one of the highest paid White House employees

As the special assistant to the president and director of Oval Office operations, the College of Charleston ’13 grad had one of the highest White House salaries with an annual income of $145,000, CNBC reported, citing White House salary information released in July.

Although Westerhout wasn’t in the spotlight during her time as a Trump staffer, she did enjoy a level of closeness to the president, with her desk “just outside the Oval Office,” according to The Washington Post.

According to the Post, her job duties included “control access to the Oval Office, deliver the president’s marker-scribbled messages, send orders to top military officials, print emails and articles to show Trump, and seek to keep a tight grip on his schedule.”

She used to work for Mitt Romney and the Republican National Committee

Before working with Trump, Westerhout got her start as an RNC aide and traveled the across the country to several GOP debates, according to her Facebook. She also worked for Mitt Romney on his 2012 presidential campaign, according to the New York Times.

In 2012, she called Romney “the greatest man I will ever work for.”

RELATED: Trump’s Personal Assistant Resigns After Reportedly Disclosing Family’s ‘Private Details’: Reports

“This country is certainly lucky to have someone like him run for president,” she said in a Facebook post that included a photo of her with Romney.

She reportedly cried on election night after Trump won

On Election Night 2016, Westerhout was reportedly so upset after Trump won that she was crying and “inconsolable,” according to journalist Tim Alberta’s book American Carnage, according to the Washington Post, which obtained an advance copy of the book back in July. The Post reported that the book reveals how several Republicans who previously opposed Trump were persuaded to his side.

But despite her disappointment over Trump’s win at the time, it doesn’t appear that Westerhout necessarily wanted Hillary Clinton to win instead. In 2015, she posted an article about how the RNC used the words “stop hillary” as their WiFi password during a debate, and included the hashtag #StopHillary in her post.

RELATED: Here Are All the Trump Team Players Who Heard ‘You’re Fired!’ — or Quit

Trump reportedly called her “my beautiful beauty”

Alberta’s book also reportedly revealed that despite her initial wavering, Westerhout eventually became one of Trump’s biggest supporters — she would reportedly do anything for the president, who called her “my beautiful beauty,” according to the Washington Post.

She used to be a barre instructor

Westerhout posts a lot about working out on her social media accounts — she particularly loves Soul Cycle (one of several companies that celebrities have called to boycott after reports that its owner fundraises for Trump) — and even used to work as a fitness instructor herself between political gigs.

“ double header today! Taught in the morning, took and taught again at night!!” she wrote on Facebook in 2015.

Sofia Richie Calls Kylie Jenner Her ‘Best Friend': 'I Love You'

Since Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods’ friendship came to an end, it seems the makeup mogul has found herself a new bestie: Sofia Richie.

On Friday, Jenner, 22, shared an Instagram montage video of her birthday extravaganza in Capri, Italy. In the video, Richie, who is dating Kourtney Kardashian‘s ex Scott Disick, called Jenner her “best friend” in a sweet message.

“Kylie, you’re 22 and you’ve always been one year cooler than me,” said Richie, 21. “But I love you. You’re my best friend. I don’t know what life would be like without you.”

Richie echoed her kind words about Jenner in the comments section of the video, writing, “Love you so much!”

The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star’s boyfriend, Travis Scott, and their daughter, Stormi, also appear in clips from the trip, as does family matriarch Kris Jenner, who tells her youngest daughter, “I’m so amazingly blessed to have you as my daughter and to have you call me mommy.”

Jenner and Richie have grown closer due to Richie’s relationship with Disick, 36. (Disick shares three children — Reign Aston, 4½, Penelope Scotland, 7, and Mason Dash, 9½ — with Kourtney, 40.)

At Jenner’s birthday bash in Capri, the couple, who have been dating since 2017, was seen walking arm-in-arm, with Richie wearing a coral-colored dress and Disick matching her in a salmon-colored jacket.

The model shared a slew of Instagram photos from her European travels celebrating Jenner’s birthday this month, including a snap of herself wearing a tiny black bikini on a yacht.

Last weekend, Richie, Disick and Jenner hung out again, this time to celebrate Richie’s 21st birthday in Las Vegas, where they were joined by Jenner’s pal Anastasia Karanikolaou.

Richie, who was dressed in a pink, crystal-embellished Yousef Al-Jasmi catsuit, hit up XS Nightclub, where The Chainsmokers were headlining that night. Jenner, who wore a pink latex dress, arrived later and was spotted dancing with the rest of the group.

source recently told PEOPLE that Jenner grew close with Richie after cutting ties with longtime best friend Woods, who kissed Tristan Thompson, the father of Khloé Kardashian‘s 16-month-old daughter True, in February.

“Sofia has been nothing but supportive about the Jordyn drama,” the source said. “She seems like a very loyal friend to Kylie and Kylie appreciates that.”

Cardi B Claps Back at Twitter Trolls Saying Travis Scott Deserved Her Grammy

Cardi B has a message for trolls who think Travis Scott deserved to win Best Rap Album at the 2019 Grammy Awards instead of her — “My s— still charting!’

Earlier this week, fans of Scott, 27, flooded Twitter with their grievances regarding Cardi’s victory for Invasion of Privacy after the “Sicko Mode” rapper released his new Netflix documentary Look Mom I Can Fly — on Wednesday, which shows him visibly upset at the awards show after not taking home the Gramophone for Astroworld.

“On my album I showed different sides of me,” Cardi, 26, began on Twitter. “From my intro talking about my pass to living my best life inspiring people. Relationship songs while I was going thru my own relationship drama to shaking ass like Bodak & that ASS — Every song went platinum!”

Cardi went on to explain that in addition to dealing with her own personal issues while recording the album, she was also expecting her first child with husband Offset. The couple welcomed daughter Kulture Kiari in July 2018. Cardi dropped Invasion of Privacy in April of that year.

“I did it all while I was pregnant. Throwing up, drowsy, terrible colds in a rush to finish it so I can start doing music videos before I started showing. I spend 24 hours for months sleeping on a couch with my pregnant depressed ass in a studio,” Cardi wrote.

“I wasn’t even thinking of winning or even the Grammies . All I can think about was… everybody is disappointed in me, am I still going to have a career after this baby? Is this album going to make me or break me? I need to finish before I start showing,” she continued.

Cardi shared she was also dealing with drama with her longtime manager.

“I had to get my husband to talk to my label cause I never had a relationship with them so we all came together to relocate me to Atlanta and Miami to finish my album before my stomach start showing,” she wrote.

“When I kept seeing the certifications of the songs going gold or platinum I was so excited cause my husband was out here asking everybody for a feature on my behalf so the ones that said yes thank you from the bottom of my heart cause TRUST ME A LOT OF ARTIST SAID NO! OR CHARGING 6 figures for a feature.”

Thinking back on what all went into creating the project, Cardi explained, “I was like YEA BITCH YOU DESERVE THIS S—! and until this day my s— still charting.”

Cardi went on to quote late rapper Nipsey Hussle (his album Victory Lap was nominated for the same award), who congratulated her on her win.

“When I won Nipsey said on a comment to me WHEN IS YOUR TIME IS YOUR TIME! Now when I speak to upcoming artist or people who ask me for advice I tell them the same thing! WHEN IS YOUR TIME IS YOUR TIME and when it comes don’t let nobody take that special moment away from you!” Cardi wrote.

“Ok I was having fun going back and forth with real people but these weird fan accounts started coming over here killing s—. Ya be killing the vibes. Party is over,” Cardi continued.

The star concluded the series of tweets by responding directly to a Scott fan, writing, “Ya some grown ass men talking about dragging cardi cause I won a award for a bomb ass album.”

She added that she also promoted Astroworld and there is no bad blood between her and Scott.

“Mind you I myself promoted Astroworld on my page when it came out and have a good relationship with Trav while ya some small dick men talking about draggginh a girl,” Cardi tweeted.

This isn’t the first time Cardi has responded to backlash about her Grammy win.

On Feb. 11, just one day after the award show, Cardi shared a heated video, which has since been deleted, defending herself against critics.

“I remember last year when I didn’t win for ‘Bodak Yellow’ and everybody was like, ‘Cardi got snubbed,’” she recalled in the video. “Now this year’s a f— problem?! My album went two-time platinum, my n—, and every chart that there was, my album was always Top 10. Number one album, as well.”

Mac Miller‘s Swimming and Pusha T‘s Daytona were also up for the 2019 award.

Valerie Harper, Beloved TV Icon, Dies at 80, After a Long Battle With Cancer

Valerie Harper, who played one of TV’s most popular and enduring characters — the constantly dating, constantly dieting Rhoda Morgenstern — for nearly a decade starting in 1970, has died, PEOPLE confirms. She was 80.

The star died on Friday at 10:06 a.m., her family confirmed to ABC 7. Her cause of death was not immediately known.

Harper had been battling a number of health issues over the past few years, including leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, lung cancer and brain cancer.

On July 8, a family friend set up a GoFundMe page titled “The Valerie Harper Cancer Support Fund” in order to assist Harper with her daily “unrelenting medical costs” so that she would receive “the best care possible.”

Within the first week, the campaign had raised over $40,000 from friends, family and many of Harper’s beloved fans.

Identifiable Character

Once she debuted as the kooky neighbor from New York on The Mary Tyler Moore Show in 1970, Harper liked to say, “People identify with Rhoda because she’s a loser” — a claim that the actress would soon have to deny.

Though the CBS Saturday night sitcom was not a ratings hit its first season, Harper took home the Emmy for Best Supporting Actress. After that, the show remained solidly in the top 10 for years, and Harper won two more supporting actress awards.

From that success came the 1974–78 spin-off Rhoda and a Best Actress Emmy. When Rhoda got married, on October 28, 1974, the special hour-long episode shattered ratings records with 52 million viewers — more than half of America’s entire viewing audience.

Wanted to Be a Dancer

Valerie Harper was born in Rockland County, New York in the town of Suffern to parents Iva and Donald. Her mom was a nurse, while her dad was a lighting salesman who traveled the country, taking his family with him. By the age of 13, Harper had lived in New Jersey, California, Michigan and Oregon.

Simultaneously taking ballet and attending Manhattan’s School for Young Professionals, Harper debuted professionally at age 16 as part of the Corps de Ballet at Radio City Music Hall, where, at 5 ft., 6 in., she said that she felt “like a klutz next to those other skinny girls.”

Hoping to graduate from the chorus, where she danced in such Broadway shows as 1960’s Lucille Ball musical Wildcat, Harper seriously plunged into acting lessons, though it was her comedic skills that got her into Chicago’s Second City Theater.

Dream Casting

Some Broadway acting roles did follow, but then TV came to call. With few small-screen credits — and looking “rather chunky and unprepossessing,” according to The New York Times — in spring 1970, she auditioned among dozens of others to play the Jewish girlfriend of Mary Tyler Moore‘s divorced character on a new sitcom.

In the end, CBS didn’t think American audiences would accept Mary’s being divorced, but Rhoda could be Jewish (in real life, Harper called herself a lapsed Catholic).

“She croaked out one line and we knew we had what we’d been looking for,” James L. Brooks, who helped create The Mary Tyler Moore Show, told The Times about Valerie’s audition.

Once Rhoda debuted in 1974, PEOPLE reported: “After playing Rhoda on The Mary Tyler Moore Show for four seasons and winning three back-to-back Emmys, Valerie was rewarded with her own series this fall at $25,000 per episode (plus a percentage flyer). So far Rhoda is the top-ranked new show of the year.”

Although the show’s popularity started to wane after Rhoda got married (and divorced), Harper kept working, on stage, in movies and on TV.

In 1986, NBC presented her on the family sitcom Valerie, also starring a very young Jason Bateman, though after two years the network fired her and the case went to court. Harper sued for wrongful dismissal, and NBC countersued her for libel. The star ended up winning some damages, while NBC renamed the sitcom The Hogan Family.

Everybody’s Relative

While still with Second City, Harper met actor Richard Schaal. They were married from 1964 until their divorce in 1978. In 1987, she married her former fitness adviser, Tony Cacciotti.

When they first met, Harper told PEOPLE in 1980, “I thought, ‘What a beautiful, giving teacher.’ Although I’m a feminist and think it’s terrific to call a man if you’re comfortable, I don’t do it.

Added Mary Tyler Moore: “It doesn’t matter if a guy is yelling out of his truck, ‘Hey, Rhoda!’ She’ll ask him his name, does he have a wife, does he have any children?”

Fighting for Her Life

In March 2013, Harper announced” that she had leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, a rare condition that occurs when cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain. Her doctors said at the time that she had as little as three months left.

“I don’t think of dying,” the actress told PEOPLE in March 2013. “I think of being here now.”

In 2014, Harper told PEOPLE she was at peace with her diagnosis.

While she was diagnosed early with (and successfully treated for) lung cancer in 2009, Harper was later forced to cancel the February 2013 promotional plans for her memoir, just-published at the time, I, Rhoda, when she received her terminal brain cancer diagnosis in 2013.

“The side of my face started to feel kind of numb. I was slurring my speech,” she told The New Yorker in a phone interview at the time. The magazine reported that her “spirits were good.”

That, like it or not, was her Rhoda side coming out. Or, as the world was to learn, her Valerie Harper side.

Pete Davidson and Margaret Qualley Photographed Together at the Venice Film Festival

Pete Davidson and Margaret Qualley were photographed together amid rumors that the two are dating.

Davidson, 25, and Qualley, 24, were photographed at the premiere of the actress’s film Seberg at the Venice Film Festival on Friday alongside Qualley’s costar Anthony Mackie.

Qualley, who also stars in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood, wore a pink chiffon gown as she stood up while Mackie, 40, helped her. Davidson sat behind the two and watched as Qualley rose from her seat.

The photos come just hours after a report by E! News that the two arrived in Venice, Italy together and looking like a couple.

On Wednesday, Us Weekly reported that the Saturday Night Live comedian and Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood star are dating.

“They’ve been seeing each other for a couple of months and Margaret is really excited about him,” a source told the magazine.

Seberg also stars Kristen Stewart, Zazie Beetz and Vince Vaughn. It follows the story of actress Jean Seberg, who was targeted by the FBI in the late 1960s for her romantic and political involvement with civil rights activist Hakim Jamal.

Davidson’s reported romance with Qualley comes nearly a year after his whirlwind engagement to Ariana Grande ended. The comedian also dated actress Kate Beckinsale earlier this year, before they split in April after nearly four months of dating.

“They’re still friendly, but it just didn’t work out,” a source told PEOPLE about Davidson and Beckinsale, 46.

Qualley, the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell and her first husband Paul Qualley, is having a busy year.

The actress starred in Quentin Tarantino’s film earlier this summer and earned her first major award nomination at the 2019 Emmys for her role in the FX show Fosse/Verdon. Her breakout role was as Justin Theroux’s daughter in HBO’s three-season hit The Leftovers.

Jersey Shore: Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Says 'Making It Work' with Jen Harley Is 'Best for the Baby'

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro only wants what’s best for his child.

On Thursday’s episode of Jersey Shore: Family VacationRonnie returned from his 30-day stint in rehab with a new outlook on life — but he still hadn’t closed the door on his relationship with Jen Harley, mother to his 16-month-old daughter Ariana Sky.

“When I looked at myself before, there was shame, there was regret, there was resentment,” he said. “Me going to get help doesn’t mean that I beat this, I’m going to fight it every day for the rest of my life. At first it might be a struggle, but I’m going to make anything work for my daughter.”

Vinny Guadagnino and Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio were glad to see that Ronnie had turned a new page, but they still had serious concerns about his relationship with Jen. (The two have a well-documented history of alleged abuse on both sides.)

“First impression of Ronnie is it’s a new Ronnie. New spirit, new clothes, new teeth,” said Vinny. “Ronnie is in a good place. He looks good and he sounds good. Unfortunately, Jen is 50 percent of his problem, so he still has that addiction that he’s battling with.”

“Every time Ron and Jen are back together, I am disappointed about it,” he continued. “Because I know exactly where that’s going to lead: TMZ.”

RELATED: Why Jersey Shore‘s Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Checked Into Rehab — I Was ‘Tired of the Chaos in My Life’

And surprise, surprise — they did end up getting back together.

“Um, you know, it’s crazy, but right now me and Jen are together. Making it work is the best for the baby, but I also feel like it’s just best for each other,” Ronnie explained. “We keep fighting for something, so there’s got to be something there. And it’s not the baby, because people raise kids without each other all the time. So it’s got to be something deeper.”

They were also planning their daughter’s first birthday party, and Ronnie was excited for his roomies to see that he and Jen were getting along and putting their differences aside for the sake of the baby.

But there was one person he had to sit down with one-on-one before the festivities: Jenni “JWoww” Farley. Things had been tense between the two for months, and Jenni wasn’t happy with Ronnie for taking her estranged husband Rogers Mathews’ side by liking some of his Instagram posts about their ongoing divorce.

“Ronnie taking Roger’s side is the most hurtful part,” she said. “Know my side before you make a decision on what side you want to be on.”

They ended up hashing things out, and Ronnie promised to always have her back.

“Roger has always been good to me. But Jenni is my sister,” he explained. “She was going through some stuff, I was going through some stuff, and we just weren’t really helping each other and that’s what we should have been doing.”

“Ronnie is my brother, so I don’t want to be at odds with him,” added Jenni. “I love him to death. I just want him to be how he used to be.”

Michael Douglas' Son Dylan Goes Skydiving and Mom Catherine Zeta-Jones Finds Out on Instagram

Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas‘ son is still surprising his parents at every turn.

Dylan’s fondness for adventure and stunts mirrors another A-lister’s child: Harrison Ford and his son Liam, 18, whom he shares with actress Calista Flockhart.

The Star Wars actor, 77, opened up about skydiving with his son in New Zealand while on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in June.

“So was that your first time skydiving? Why would you wait so long to skydive?” Ellen DeGeneres, 61, asked him.

“Probably because Liam said he wanted to do it,” Ford said, explaining it was his son’s “idea.”

He added, “But it was fun, it was great. I did like it.”

When asked if he had any regrets before making the jump, Ford said, “I was looking forward to it. I would . I want to take the training and be able to do it myself.”

As for whether Liam was interested in skydiving again, Ford revealed, “We’re talking about it,” before hilariously adding, “We’re not talking to his mother about it.”

Jersey Shore's Jenni 'JWoww' Farley Finalizes Divorce from Roger Mathews

Jenni “JWoww” Farley‘s divorce has been finalized.

Nearly one year after the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation star, 34, filed for divorce from Roger Mathews, the pair’s marriage is officially over.

“Jenni and Roger have reached an amicable conclusion and finalized their divorce,” Farley’s rep said in a statement obtained by PEOPLE on Thursday. “They remain devoted to co-parenting their children in a happy and healthy environment and they both wish each other the best.”

Farley and Mathews have two children: son Greyson Valor, 3, and daughter Meilani Alexandra, 5.

After nearly three years of marriage, the MTV personality filed for divorce from Mathews on Sept. 12, 2018 according to New Jersey’s Asbury Park Press.

The duo tied the knot in October 2015 after nearly five years together in front of a group of family and friends that included her Jersey Shore castmates Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Pauly D, and Bachelorette alums Trista and Ryan Sutter.

The couple got engaged in September 2012 while filming their MTV Jersey Shore spin-off, Snooki & JWoww. They first began dating in 2010 after meeting in Seaside Heights, New Jersey, while Farley was filming the third season of Jersey Shore.

Though they continued to spend time together as a family after the divorce filing, even celebrating their three-year wedding anniversary in October, the relationship took a downward turn in December, when Farley filed for a restraining order against Mathews after the two got into an argument.

Farley and Mathews have since appeared to put any animosity behind them. They reunited to celebrate Easter with their kids and in May, Farley told PEOPLE she and Mathews were on good terms.

She has also moved on romantically and has been dating 24-year-old wrestler Zack Clayton Carpinello since April.

Earlier this week, Farley and Carpinello swiftly shut down rumors that they’re expecting a baby together after speculation was sparked when Farley attended the 2019 MTV VMAs wearing a fitted yellow dress. She was also seen resting her hand on her belly in certain shots.

After a fan commented on one of Farley’s Instagram posts wondering if the reality star was “sneaky preggas,” Farley responded, “nope just a burger,” adding a couple of crying-tears-of-laughter emojis.

Carpinello, who attended the award show alongside Farley, also denied the rumors.

“Jenni is NOT pregnant,” he wrote on his Instagram Story. “Stop being idiots.”

Brooks & Dunn Celebrate the Career They Never Thought Would Last: 'All You Gotta Do Is Do the Math'

When they first met back in 1990, Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn were two solo artists looking for a big break, not a performing partner. Somehow they found both in each other. But even after the duo earned back-to-back No. 1 singles by the end of the next year, Brooks says, he never thought they could last.

“Being as old as we were, 36 and 38 … there’s no way this career goes 20 years,” Brooks, now 64, told an audience at Nashville’s Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum on Saturday. “All you gotta do is do the math with that.”

Of course, as it turns out, there was other math that mattered more: 20 chart-toppers, 26 million in record sales, 28 ACM awards, 18 CMA awards and two Grammys.

A gobsmacking number of those trophies — six long rows of pretty, shiny things — are now on display at the museum in its exhibit, “Brooks & Dunn: The Kings of Neon,” newly opened this month. It arrives on the heels of an even bigger honor, election into the Country Music Hall of Fame (announced in March), as well as the April release of Reboot, a stellar collection of greatest-hits collaborations that’s their first studio album in 12 years.

RELATED: Brooks & Dunn, Country’s Unlikeliest Duo, Set to Enter Hall of Fame: ‘This Is Real Frickin’ Weird’

On Saturday, the duo appeared at the museum, along with their longtime manager, Clarence Spalding, to reflect on their improbable career and reminisce about the ups and downs of their 29-year professional marriage.

Their matchmaker, music exec Tim DuBois, first put them together for a songwriting session, which turned into a recording session, which turned into magic. On the surface, they were an odd couple: Dunn was a lanky Texan who stood behind the microphone and let his supple voice do the work. Brooks was a live-wire Louisianan who threw himself into selling his songs.

Neither knew each other’s performance style until the first time they shared a stage at an early industry showcase.

Dunn, 66, recalled one pungent assessment after the show. “My wife said, ‘I remember seeing the look on your face when took off all over the place — pow, pow, pow, pow!” Dunn said, flinging his arms right and left. “‘And you’re still singing, looking at him, going, what the hell is this?’”

Brooks, meanwhile, was perplexed by Dunn’s stillness. “I thought maybe his boots were nailed down to the stage,” Brooks said.

Their differences turned out to be crucial to the duo’s synergy, and over the next two decades, they rode a tidal wave of popularity. Even after they hit a slump at the turn of the century, they hunkered down, delivered three more platinum-selling albums and transformed their concerts into must-see pyrotechnic circuses.

A sold-out farewell tour in 2010 seemed to herald permanent retirement, but both men knew they weren’t done yet. “We never said we weren’t ever going to do this anymore,” Brooks said, “but we did say we needed a break, and it was a good one for us.”

Since 2015, the duo has packed the Colosseum at Las Vegas’ Caesars Palace with pal Reba McEntire, and this past year, their manager, Spalding, coaxed them back into the studio for Reboot.

Spalding revealed that a chance encounter with then-newcomer Luke Combs sparked the idea for the album.

“He was so excited to tell me about riding to Florida as a kid and wearing the Brand New Man cassette out,” Spalding recalled. “And the only thing I can think of is, God, I wish were here right now to hear this young guy … telling the effect they had on his career.”

Further motivation was provided after the duo checked out web posts of Combs’ acoustic version of “Brand New Man” and Kacey Musgraves‘ “Neon Moon” (which Brooks described as “the LSD version”). Spalding started putting out calls to other younger artists.

“I think the longest I had to wait was maybe 30 minutes for somebody to call back,” he said. Combs, Musgraves, Thomas Rhett, Brothers Osborne, Midland, Kane Brown, Ashley McBryde — everyone — said yes.

The only hitch, Spalding revealed, came when Brown asked to collaborate on “Believe,” one of Dunn’s most vocally demanding songs.

“I just couldn’t wrap my head around it,” Spalding said, “and they couldn’t really, either. But we went along with it.”

After the recording session, Spalding took a phone call from Dunn, expecting to hear bad news. Dunn told him something else. “That kid,” he said, “has no idea how good he is.”

Looking ahead, both Brooks and Dunn are clearly happy to keep this new momentum going. They’ve already signed on for a couple dozen more Las Vegas dates next year, and Dunn hinted at some other “pretty substantial dates,” as well.

“Stay tuned,” Spalding teased.

Neither artist has any interest in slowing down.

“I think that innate hunger that drives you, when you’re on the creative plane, is probably always there,” Dunn said. “That’s something that you’ll never lose, whether you call it ambition or whatever. I think all high achievers … there’s some kind of little demon back there driving them to achieve.”

“You need to write a song, you need to write a song,” Brooks added in falsetto. “That little voice is always there.”

Brooks & Dunn: Kings of Neon” runs through July 19, 2020, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.

New Hampshire Mom Fighting to Keep Her Longtime Vanity License Plate That Reads 'PB4WEGO'

A New Hampshire mother is fighting the state’s Department of Motor Vehicles to keep her longtime vanity license plate after they had a disagreement about its appropriateness.

Wendy Auger, of Rochester, has had her customized car license plate, which reads “PB4WEGO” for 15 years, according to Seacoast Online.

The initials stand for the phrase “pee before we go” — something Auger claims is commonly said by parents before getting in the car with their children.

However, the New Hampshire Department of Motor Vehicles has recently asked Auger to turn in her plates due to the fact that the state prohibits phrases related to excretory acts.

“Who has a mom or dad or parental figure who hasn’t said that to kids before leaving the house?” Auger asked the outlet following the recall. “I’m not the type to sit here with a picket, but come on.”

Auger explained that she had wanted the “PB4WEGO” plate for several years and “jumped on it” when New Hampshire increased its plate character limit from six to seven.

The phrase was then displayed on her family’s minivan and according to Auger, often caught the attention of other motorists and passersby who honked out of enjoyment or asked to take photographs of the plate.

Though she considered getting rid of it when she bought a new car last year, Auger ultimately decided to keep it per the recommendation of a local DMV employee.

“It would just stink if I don’t have it anymore. If I have to take it off the plate, then I’m not going to be able to live free,” she told the outlet, referencing New Hampshire’s “Live Free or Die” state motto printed on their license plates.

Since receiving the recall, Auger has questioned why her plate was targeted, especially since she has never received any complaints about its content.

She also has plans to fight the DMV’s decision by filing an appeal over the matter, which she claims is an infringement on free speech, especially since she believes it’s not offensive, according to Seacoast Online.

Auger noted that an employee from the DMV has even offered to help her fight the recall, calling the request to turn in her plates “absurd”, the outlet reports.

Auger is one of 92 motorists in the state to receive vanity plate recalls this year as of last week, according to state records obtained by the outlet. The number is a stark contrast to the 111 total who were requested to turn in their plates in 2018.

In a statement to Seacoast Online, a spokesperson for the New Hampshire DMV explained that license plates are rejected “when they do not conform to legal requirements” set by the state legislature’s administrators.

The spokesperson also added that a plan is currently in place “to recall a plate should one be issued that should not have been,” but could not comment further on Auger’s case due to vehicle registrations being covered under state privacy laws.

At this time, it is unclear when the state plans on making a decision over Auger’s license plate.

Representatives at the New Hampshire Department of Safety and DMV did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

Teresa Giudice Documents Oldest Daughter Gia’s College Campus Moving Day – Gets Emotional!

Teresa Giudice was partying in Mykonos, Greece with some of her girlfriends just a few days ago but now, the partying is over and she is back to the reality of having to live separately from her oldest daughter, Gia. As fans know, the 18 year old is starting college and her mother came back home to help her get settled.

Even though she will continue to live with her other three younger daughters, Teresa was still very emotional when she dropped Gia off at college.

She will be attending Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey starting this fall.

The college is actually pretty close to home, no more than 45 minutes away.

Teresa is obviously very proud but also sad to see her leave the nest.

She took to social media to share a number of videos documenting the firstborn’s process of moving away.

While she was emotional, Teresa did not let her motherly emotions stop her from treating this situation as an opportunity to celebrate and party so she had champagne bottles ready to be opened.

She also filmed the actual moving, showing her brother, Joe Gorga lifting the many suitcases.

Another vid also shows Gia hugging the family pet dog, Bella, saying goodbye as they were finally heading to the campus she will be living on.

Her grandfather Frank Giudice and her 14 year old sister Milania came along for the trip as well.

When they arrived, the RHONJ star gushed over the great view on the campus.

Meanwhile, uncle Joe was setting up a TV and getting her furniture in.

The family was greeted by a group of students so it seems like Gia will definitely have friends in college, even before classes officially start.
