SPORTS - La Liga want Real Madrid forward Bale sanctioned

La Liga want Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale to be sanctioned by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) for his "provocative gesture” as he celebrated scoring Real Madrid third goal in the 3-1 win against Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano on Saturday.

Bale raised his bent arm and hit it with his other hand, a gesture that is considered offensive in Spain.

Last week, La Liga said it would crack down on "offensive goal celebrations”.
The goal against Atletico Madrid was Bale’s 100th goal for Real Madrid.

Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos might also face similar sanction by UEFA for his comments after the 3-1 win over Ajax after he admitted he forced the yellow card so as to be fresh in the quarterfinals stage of the Champions League, though he later denied it that the yellow card was not intentional.
