EPL - Man Utd make four-man transfer shortlist after PSG defeat

Manchester United have drawn up a four-man transfer shortlist after 2-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday night Old Trafford.
Red Devils vice-chairman Ed Woodward accepts major investment is needed to close the gap on big Europe's elite of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus and neighbour Manchester City once again.


According to Daily Mail reports that Manchester United want to make the defence their main priority in the summer transfer window with Napoli center-back Kalidou Koulibaly, Atletico Madrid left-back Lucas Hernandez, Fiorentina, central back Nikola Milenkovic and Juventus winger Douglas Costa to bolster the squad to challenge for Premier League and Champions League title next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over as interim manager from Jose Mourinho in December lost his first game in charge after the Norwegian coach won 9, drawn one in an excellent unbeaten run in domestic competitions seeing Red Devils into the top four since the departure of former Inter boss
Senegal international Koulibaly remains their No.1 target, having been on Manchester United's radar for some time and 2018 FIFA World Cup winner Hernandez of France who can play centrally or at left-back while Serbian star Milenkovic is also on the club shortlist.
The 20th Premier League Champions have also heavily linked with Brazilian winger Costa under Mourinho and there are suggestions he would consider leaving Juventus in the summer.

Manchester United are back in action on Monday when they travel to London to clash with FA Cup defending holders Chelsea at Stamford Bridge before returning to Premier League action against Liverpool at Old Trafford February 24.
