The Mandalorian Season 2 Will Be Here In Fall, But You Don’t Have To Wait That Long For Baby Yoda, The Child

Fans of the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian will be thrilled to know that the second season will hit the new streaming platform in fall 2020, but fans won’t have to wait that long to get their hands on one of its biggest stars: The Child. Baby Yoda became an unexpected viral sensation in what cost Disney billions of lost dollars in lost revenue during the holiday shopping season. Disney+ had an amazing launch in the U.S. on November 12, 2019, and the network’s original series The Mandalorian was instantly a favorite. Where many Star Wars’ fans tend to be put at odds when a new show or movie comes out, The Mandalorian seems to be a hit with everyone.

The eight-episode series didn’t last long enough for fans, however, many did say they appreciated the shorter length each individual episode delivered. The storyline and plot were well received, stars such as Pedro Pascal (The Mandalorian), Natalia Tena (Xi’an), Clancy Brown (Burg) and Carl Weathers (Greef Karga) were quick favorites, but nothing could prepare Disney for the way fans would respond to The Child aka Baby Yoda!

Series creator Jon Favreau shared the exciting news on Twitter that there will be a second season of The Mandalorian coming in Fall 2020.

While fans are thrilled that The Mandalorian Season 2 is underway, they are also excited that Baby Yoda will soon hit stores.  People have been so desperate to buy Baby Yoda, they are printing the image, hand-making toys, and selling their own off-label versions that look close enough to Baby Yoda that a few kids may have been thrilled on Christmas Day.

Disney is launching official Baby Yoda toys that are expected to hit store shelves in May. Disney wanted to keep The Child’s identity a secret and that’s why they didn’t choose to launch merchandise. Some are now questioning whether that was the best decision or not.

They managed to keep Baby Yoda a secret but lost out on worldwide revenue. Either way, Baby Yoda will be on shelves in the form of adorable, plush figures in May and fans can now look forward to The Mandalorian Season 2 on Disney + in fall 2020.
