Tekashi 6ix9ine Is Going To Jail For 2 Years

Tekashi 6ix9ine is going to prison claims a new report from Page Six. Judge Paul Engelmayer, from the Manhattan federal court, sentenced the hip-hop artist to two years in jail on Wednesday. Earlier this year, prosecutors asked the judge to go easy on Tekashi 6ix9ine due to his stellar cooperation with federal authorities.

As it was previously reported, Tekashi 6ix9ine was looking at upwards of 50 years in prison before he began cooperating with the police. However, reports suggest the rapper was willing to speak with authorities the moment they began their interrogation.

The 23-year-old Gummo artist, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, reportedly “begged” the judge for mercy and also appeared a bit disheveled by the fact his father was in the court that day with him. Daniel hadn’t seen his dad since he was 9.

Reportedly, Daniel said out loud when he saw his father, “is this a f*cking joke? With everything that I go through?” Also, Daniel Hernandez’s father, whose name is also Daniel, purportedly asked to say something on his son’s behalf but was shot down by the judge.

Engelmayer, the judge in the case, reportedly told Daniel’s father that it was way too late to speak on his son’s behalf, as he had “squandered” that right many years ago. Mr. Hernandez reportedly hasn’t spoken to his son since he was first kicked out of his mother’s house. Daniel was there to say he loved his son.

As it was previously reported, Tekashi was looking at many decades behind bars when the federal authorities first apprehended him near the beginning of the year. However, he cut a deal with the government to avoid going to jail for a long time.

Apparently, Tekashi 6ix9ine appeared “tearful” during the sentencing that day. At the moment, it isn’t known whether Hernandez will seek protection from the federal government in the witness protection program.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was facing a conviction on racketeering charges among other violent charges, but in order to take down Anthony Ellison and Aljermiah Mack, the feds needed his cooperation.
