Robert Pattinson Has A Special Plan In Case His Batman Movie Doesn’t Succeed
Robert Pattinson, the Twilight alum, admitted to reporters from the United Kingdom’s The Guardian, that he has a backup plan in case his new Batman movie doesn’t succeed as he hopes. The 33-year-old star spoke with the aforementioned outlet regarding his new movie and explained that he felt a connection to the character, and doesn’t know why.
According to Mr. Pattinson, he has wanted to play the Batman for many years, and really fought for the role. For that reason, and the legend of the character, he has been feeling a lot of pressure to exceed expectations.
The star insinuated in the interview that it was a challenge to deal with the potential blowback whenever discussing the new features of the film. The expectation from fans to do well is challenging. With that said, however, Pattinson claimed he is a harsh critic of himself.
“So, I don’t need to worry about anyone else,” Mr. Pattinson added. According to Pattinson, if his new movie doesn’t go as planned, he intends on moving to the adult film industry instead. However, with a particular caveat: it has to be “art-house porn.”

As it was previously reported, Pattinson first got the role of the new Batman in May after several months of setbacks. In October of this year, Robert admitted he didn’t even know how he managed to get the role. Speaking with reporters from Esquire magazine, the star claimed the whole thing was “insane,” adding that he still doesn’t understand how he managed to get himself into the position.
Reportedly, the new Batman movie will come as part of a three-movie series, and it stars Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, Peter Sarsgaard, Zoe Kravtiz, as well as Andy Serkis.
Fans of Batman know that the franchise has been around for years and has had many stars, including Michael Keaton, Adam West, George Clooney, Christian Bale, and Ben Affleck. Batman is slated for release in 2021.
The last actor to portray the Caped Crusader was Ben Affleck, following the massive success of Christian Bale’s interpretation of the character in Christopher Nolan’s trilogy.
