Kevin Hart On The Rock Filling In For Him While He Recovered: ‘He’s A Good Guy’
Kevin Hart may only be 65 to 75 percent recovered physically, but he seems to be at 100. The comedian finally made his way to the Kelly Clarkson Show where he talked about his accident, friendship with The Rock, and helped out a single mom.
Kevin was scheduled to be a guest on the Kelly Clarkson Show but he got into a terrible car crash where he was severely injured and could have been paralyzed from.
Dwayne The Rock Johnson stepped in for his Jumanji castmate and friend without even being asked to. The former WWE champion gave fans the first update about Hart post-accident.
‘Everything is good, I spoke with Kevin, I actually refer to him as my son. I connected with him today. And you know what? These things happen in life and thankfully he was strapped in nicely to his car seat,’ he joked.
He then went on to say that Kevin was doing good.
‘I love the guy, he is one of my best friends, and honestly, I mean, thank God, it could have been a lot worse, so he is a lucky man and he knows it too.’
The comedian spoke about Dwayne during his appearance when he said: ‘He did me a big favor, man. And you know what? It was without me even asking. He’s a good guy. People don’t understand. Our friendship is 100-per-cent real and authentic.’
He joked that if the roles were reversed — he wouldn’t fill in for him.
Hart spoke about his new lease on life and being thankful that he’s alive.
The actor then learned how to ‘chew’ wine with a sommelier and surprised a single mom with a fully furnished apartment.
Kelly’s show was one of many stops that the 40-year-old is making in order to promote Jumanji 2 that’s already in theaters.
