Bill Cosby PR Rep Slams Eddie Murphy For Shading Him On ‘Saturday Night Live’ – Calls Him A ‘Hollywood Slave!’
Eddie Murphy’s return to Saturday Night Live after no less than 35 years was a highly anticipated thing but it turns out that not everyone was very happy about it! After the famous comedic actor threw some shade at the controversial Bill Cosby during his monologue, a spokesperson for him responded and it definitely sounds like he’s not a fan.
In fact, Cosby, who is currently behind bars, has apparently always disliked Eddie Murphy’s comedy, the reason being his use of profanity!
The actor started his monologue by updating people on all the changes in his life since leaving the cast of SNL back in the 1980s!
Sure enough, a lot is different and the man even mentioned the birth of his tenth child!
While gushing over his offspring, Murphy managed to sneak in a diss of Cosby, saying that: ‘My kids are pretty much my life now, but if you would’ve told me thirty years ago that I’d be this boring, stay at home house dad and that Bill Cosby would be in jail, even I would’ve taken that bet.’
He went on to also do an impression of the disgraced actor, mockingly wondering: ‘Who is America’s Dad, now?’
In response, Cosby’s PR rep, Andrew Wyatt, released a statement that reads: ‘It is sad that Mister Murphy would take the glorious moment of returning to SNL and make remarks against Mister Cosby. One would think that Mister Murphy was given the freedom to leave the plantation, so that he could just make his own decisions; but he decided to sell himself back to being a Hollywood Slave. Stepin Fetchit plus cooning equals the destruction of Black Men in Hollywood.’
The statement actually continues, making Murphy’s shading of Cosby into even more of a racial matter!
