Selena Gomez Talks The ‘Worst’ Two Years Of Her life: ‘I Felt Worthless’

Selena Gomez is back on the scene after a lengthy break from solo music. The 27-year-old has endured a slew of personal, medical, and romantic issues since her last album and is ready to sing it out.

Her first two singles, Lose You To Love Me and Look At Her Now, performed exceptionally well. Not only were the songs catchy and relatable but they dug deep into her private life a.k.a her breakups.

The rest of the album will be about her growth. The pop singer sat down with Syke On Air about her extended break and the worst two years of her life.

‘Everything that happened within two years was a shitshow. I was completely thrown all over the place. Work-wise I didn’t know what I was gonna do but then personally stuff happened. I think that when I finally realized that I was ready to come back was when everything was released and when everything was gone and I finally felt like I had made it through one of the worst chapters of her life.’

Gomez added: ‘It takes time for you to even realize that you lost your self. The girl that I was before I entered any sort of relationship is the girl that I want to be but now I finally feel like I’ve got her, just a little bit more weathered, a little bit more experienced.’

The rawest revelation was when the former Disney Channel star said that she had people fall in love with who she was and tore her down until she was nothing.

The star said: ‘I felt worthless. I felt thrown to the side. It was horrible. It was the most disgusting feeling.’

This comes after her relationship with The Weeknd ended and her rekindled romance with Justin Bieber lasted a short while. In a shocking turn of events, Justin got engaged to Hailey Baldwin only three months after and now the two just celebrated their second wedding.

Are you excited to hear more from Selena?
