RHOC – Is Kelly Dodd Ditching Orange County For New York City?

During the current season of Real Housewives of Orange County, a lot of the drama has come from the battle between Kelly Dodd and the Tres Amigas – Tamra Judge, Shannon Beador, and Vicki Gunvalson. But, now that she is engaged to Fox News correspondent Rick Leventhal – who is based in New York – Dodd said she is willing to ditch RHOC if Andy Cohen would allow her to join the cast of the Real Housewives of New York.

According to TooFab, Dodd couldn’t resist flashing her four-carat pear-shaped diamond engagement ring to everyone she talked to at BravoCon this past weekend. She also admitted that she didn’t know that Leventhal was planning to pop the question after just three months of dating, but she’s glad he did. However, Dodd did have an idea a proposal was coming at some point because she said she picked out her ring.

A few weeks before Leventhal proposed, Dodd commented on Instagram that she had already picked out a wedding date, which was October 10, 2020. She later admitted that she was joking at the time, but it turns out her prediction came true because that is the date she and Leventhal have chosen, and they are planning to tie the knot at a ceremony in Napa Valley.

Dodd says that she has no problem with the idea of transferring from RHOC to RHONY because she is already good friends with some of the cast. In fact, it was Ramona Singer who introduced her to Leventhal.

“Actually, I’m really good friends with Dorinda [Medley], Sonja [Morgan]. I’m really good friends with Ramona [Singer],” said Dodd. “Ramona’s the one who hooked me up with Rick! Dorinda said she would officiate it, and then Ramona hooked me up, so she’s gotta be in it.”

Dodd added that she and Leventhal have decided to accept Medley’s offer to officiate because she is Catholic and Leventhal is Jewish, and having Medley officiate is the perfect alternative to having a rabbi and a priest.

As for Dodd’s possible move to the East Coast, Singer believes that it isn’t just an idea, it could absolutely be a reality. After they had lunch together at Le Bilboquet the day after Leventhal proposed, Dodd said on her Instagram Story that Singer brought up the idea of Dodd joining the cast of RHONY and told her, “Yeah! You’re moving to New York, join the show!”
