Lucky Daye Responds To His Four Grammy Award Nominations For Debut Album Painted
R & B singer Lucky Daye is speaking out about his four Grammy award nominations for his debut album Painted. Lucky Daye has scored nominations for Best R&B Performance for the song “Roll Some Mo,” Best Traditional R&B Performance for the song “Real Games,” Best R&B Song for “Roll Some Mo,” and Best R&B Album for Painted. Born David Debrandon Brown, the 34-year-old New Orleans native shared his excitement on his social media platforms such as Instagram and Twitter.
Lucky Daye shared the following message on Twitter where he thanked the Recording Academy for recognizing his work with his debut album.

In the category Best R&B Performance, Lucky Daye is up against Daniel Caeser and Brandy for their duet “Love Again.” Brandy has 12 nominations and one win. This is the first nomination for Daniel Caeser. Also nominated for multiple Grammy awards is H.E.R. who scored five Grammy nominations this year. H.E.R. won two Grammys last year and has a total of 10. She is nominated this year for Best Record of the Year for “Hard Place”, Album of the Year for I Used To Know Her Song of the Year for “Hard Place,” Best R&B Performance for “Could’ve Been,” and Best R&B Song for “Could’ve Been.”
Also nominated for Best R&B Performance is Lizzo who is also being honored for her debut album. Lizzo has 8 nominations and is being nominated in the Best R&B Performance category for her song “Exactly How I Feel” with Gucci Mane.
The last nomination for Best R&B Performance goes to Anderson.Paak Featuring Andre 3000 for the song “Come Home.” Anderson.Paak has 5 Grammy nominations and one win. Andre 3000 has 23 nominations and six wins.
