Shay Mitchell Responds To Being Mom-Shamed Over Attending Drake’s Birthday Bash

Shay Mitchell is responding to being shamed over attending Drake’s birthday bash. The actress was slammed by the parent police for attending the event after giving birth to her daughter.

On October 20th, Mitchell revealed they had welcomed their first child, a baby girl, with boyfriend Matte Babel. Days later the actress was celebrating singer Drake, bringing the mommy-shamers out in full force.

Mitchell is not letting anyone judge her when it comes to being a mother. She went through a lot to become a mom, following a miscarriage last year.

The Pretty Little Liars alum shared an Instagram Story responding to all drama of her attending Drake’s birthday party over the weekend.

“I haven’t been really checking my comments that often, but apparently people are really upset that I left three days after having a kid to go out and party. It wasn’t three days and she was with my dog Angel, so…” the 32-year-old said in a video of her scrolling through the comments on her previous Instagram Story of her at Drake’s bash.

The actress blocked out all of the usernames when posting pictures of the comments, as to not call anyone out specifically.

“Mother of the year award right here!!!! As if you seriously could leave your baby to go party?!!! I hope the child’s aid look into this and your abilities to be a good parent cause damn!!! Lacking some serious skills there sweety! #selfish,” wrote one user.

Another user called Mitchell disgusting for leaving her baby three days after giving birth. The remark was met with a perfect response by the Mother’s Day star.

“Days?” Lol honey, just because I posted on that day doesn’t mean she was born on that day,” she replied.

Then there is the comment that Mitchell chose to answer with a funny joke. One user stood up for the actress saying new mothers don’t have to be “locked in the hours 24/7.

“Yeah EXACTLY – I left her with Angel and put water out for both of them,” joked the actress.

Shay Mitchell had the best response to the mom-shamers coming at her for attending a party and having some fun. She used humor to squash the haters, who are already criticizing her parenting style of her newborn daughter.

The haters are going to hate and it is only going to get worse. It is a good thing Mitchell can take it all in stride and joke about the trolls.
