Kaitlynn Carter is reportedly focusing on herself after splitting from Miley Cyrus and Brody Jenner.

The Hills: New Beginnings star has had a drama-filled summer. First, she made her debut in the reality TV world. Next, Carter and Jenner announced they were calling it quits, one year after their Indonesian wedding. Fans also learned the couple never made their union legal in the United States.

One week after news broke the blonde beauty was single, photos of her kissing Miley Cyrus were plastered all over the Internet. Their make-out session was revealed hours after Cyrus and husband Liam Hemsworth announced they had separated.

Carter and Cyrus had a PDA filled few weeks together before deciding to end their romantic relationship. They have reportedly remained friends like they were before the relationship turned intimate.

Despite being spotted with a mystery man last week, a source close to the lifestyle blogger explained she is focused on herself.

“Kaitlynn Carter appears to be really focusing on herself after some rough times in her love life. She went to the Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic with friends and it’s very clear that there are no signs of her missing Brody or Miley. Kaitlynn is a highly independent and well-adjusted She has a large circle of friends who love and support her. It’s of no surprise to any of her friends that she’s doing just fine,” the source expressed to Hollywood Life.

On Thursday, Carter used Instagram Story to share a cryptic message about love, as well as show a picture of her feeding a horse. She alluded to horses being the only thing she needed in her life to make her happy. The MTV star has yet to comment on her high-profile breakups.

Brody Jenner recently said the couple breaking up would be addressed in Season 2 of The Hills: New Beginnings. He did not reveal if Carter is returning to the reality TV show or if her quick fling with Cyrus will be a storyline.
