Joe Giudice Claims ICE Security Guards Wanted Selfie With Him Before His Release

According to a report from People.com, Joe Giudice recently claimed that ICE detention officers asked for a selfie with him following his release from their facility. In a new interview with Andy Cohen, the reality star stated that immigration officers were taking photos with him as he was being escorted to Italy.

The 49-year-old host said to Cohen that he had two immigration officers on each side of him taking selfies on their phone during their entire interaction. The reality star added that he and the rest of the ICE officials departed from a Washington DC airport.

The reality star appeared to joke that there was another person who was carrying a gun. “You know, I’m a very dangerous guy,” the reality star remarked. Moreover, Joe claims ICE officers began telling him about all of the great places to stay in while visiting Italy.

Regarding what his actual experience was like being detained by ICE officials, the reality star claims they wanted to put handcuffs on him, but he told them he refused to do so. As it was previously reported, Joe and Teresa had their first interview together since Joe went to prison in March of 2016.

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey star was living in custody with ICE at the Clinton County Correctional Center in PA following his departure from prison back in March. The 49-year-old and his 47-year-old have been living apart since Joe first started his prison sentence in March of 2016 on wire and mail fraud.

Teresa, on the other hand, had a much smaller sentence, but still served 11 months in jail for similar crimes. She was later released on the 23rd of December, 2015. Despite the fact Joe has lived in the United States since he was a little boy, he never got his hands on American citizenship.

The law states that illegal immigrants who have committed a crime of “moral turpitude,” in addition to an “aggravated felony,” can be deported immediately. The final ruling in Joe’s case was back in October, however, he has appealed twice thus far. There will be another ruling in November of this year.

While a petition was created to allow Joe to come back to the United States, the authorities rejected it. However, a request to go to Italy was accepted, and in the nation, he has been spending time with family and FaceTiming his daughters with Teresa.
