The View Co-Host Meghan McCain Clashes With Pamela Anderson In Heated Fight Over Julian Assange
The View co-host Meghan McCain clashed with actress Pamela Anderson in a heated on-air fight over Julian Assange on Friday’s show.
Anderson has been a fierce advocate for her friend, Assange for years. He is currently sitting in a London prison awaiting an extradition hearing, for his part in the leak of several confidential documents via former soldier Chelsea Manning. The documents were incredibly damaging to the US Military.
The Baywatch alum has visited her friend in prison a few times. Her continued defense of Assange is what started her clash with McCain. Anderson called it devastating how people have succumbed to such a smear campaign regarding Assange, especially in America.
“It’s devastating that people have fallen for this smear campaign, especially in America, I feel like an outsider looking in, looking at how America has embraced all this—this propaganda. It’s really frustrating. I hope he doesn’t get extradited. I don’t think he’ll make it. I don’t think you’re protected in prison, look at Epstein. There’s a lot of danger surrounding his life,” the blonde bombshell stated.

McCain then jumped in pointing out to the actress that Ecuador kicked him out of their embassy because he was “defecating everywhere.” It was a remark Anderson did not like at all.
“That’s a smear campaign, that’s not true,” Anderson expressed then asked McCain what she would do if she was locked in one room for six years.
“Well, I wouldn’t be a cyberterrorist which he is. He hacked information. His leaks included classified documents that put our national security at risk, our military and the lives of spies and diplomats at risk,” John McCain’s daughter sternly answered.
The ladies continued to battle back and forth, with host Joy Behr for once agreeing with McCain. Anderson was smack dab in the middle of defending Assange.
After she continued to stress, he was merely a “publisher” that “supports whistleblowers,” McCain got in the final shot.
“He’s a cyberterrorist. I’ll say it! I’ll say it! I’m not going to stand by this. It’s ridiculous,” The View co-host shared.
After her comment, the ABC show quickly went to commercial. When the ladies returned the conversation had switched to, Anderson’s time at Playboy, her infamous red swimsuit and the #MeToo movement.
It was quite an episode of The View on Friday. Pamela Anderson’s interview was awkward and continued to be cringeworthy as she and Meghan McCain had it out over Julian Assange.
