Meghan McCain In Hot Water For Defending AR-15 Gun Owners Despite The Tragic Texas Shooting

Meghan McCain caused quite a huge controversy when she decided to defend AR-15 gun owners even though another tragic shooting took place in Texas not too long ago. In fact, she even declared, during an episode of The View, that she would not ‘live without guns’ while chatting with the other ladies about gun control.

That’s right! Season 23 of the show just premiered and there’s drama already!

It all started with the co-hosts talking about the concerning number of shootings that happened while they were on break.

That is when the Odessa, Texas shooting came into discussion.

After all, at least seven people died and they just had to stress that the shooter was able to buy an AR-15 assault weapon even though he’d failed the federal background check.

The reason why the shooter still managed to purchase the extremely dangerous weapon was the gun show loophole.

Naturally, Meghan was outnumbered by the liberal co-hosts but compensated with how vocal she was about gun ownership.

The self-proclaimed ‘major’ NRA donor and avid shooter went on a rant, sharing her own point of view that caused a lot of people online to be outraged.

Abby Huntsman complained that ‘if nothing is going to happen after Sandy Hook, I don’t know what it’s going to take’ but then Meghan jumped in to share her point of view as the ‘chick on the panel that spent most of her break shooting.’

The woman slammed the Democratic candidates proposing gun restrictions, saying that ‘If you’re going to be a gun grabber, you do not get my vote, period. We need to have a different conversation.’

She went on: ‘The AR-15 is by far the most popular gun in America, by far. I was just in the middle of nowhere Wyoming, if you’re talking about taking people’s guns from them, there’s going to be a lot of violence… I’m not living without guns. It’s just that simple.’

While people on the panel were asking themselves if Americans would one day walk into a mall and not feel nervous about a shooting, Meghan acted surprised they don’t feel safe.

From her point of view, as long as she has guns at home (which she does,) she feels like she can always defend herself.
