Spencer Pratt Talks Brody Jenner And Kailtynn Carter Relationship — ‘He Almost Was Like A Hostage’

Brody Jenner’s and Kaitlynn Carter’s relationship demise may have been a shock to many, but it wasn’t to Spencer Pratt. In fact, the star of The Hills: New Beginnings dished that Brody seemed as if he had been begging to get out of the relationship. Brody and Kaitlynn confirmed Friday, August 2, 2019, that their relationship was over. In a surprise twist, E! News quoted a source who dished that when Brody and Kaitlynn said their vows in an Indonesian wedding, the couple weren’t legally married! Some are saying that tidbit is making their breakup a little bit easier to get over.

As for Spencer, he says that he knew the couple was in trouble. Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag have been married for 13 years and have overcome numerous hurdles. If anyone was in a position to help Brody and Kaitlynn out, it would have been Spencer and Heidi. Neither seems to feel that the couple was open to their advice or expertise, and Spencer seems elated that Kaitlynn is out of the picture so he can have his buddy back.

Spencer weighed in on the situation on the Make Speidi Famous Again podcast and stated, the following in regards to Kaitlynn’s and Brody’s split.

“I’m not surprised. I feel like I said it. Maybe it hasn’t aired yet, but that he almost was like a hostage. It felt like he was trying to tell me, ‘Get me out! Get me out!'”

Typically, marriages in the public light are under extensive scrutiny and have additional challenges to face. The news that Brody and Kaitlynn weren’t legally married seems to be sparking more conversational topics and debates than the break up itself.  A source confided in E! News that Kaitlynn had pressured Brody into marriage. At this point, Kaitlynn hasn’t responded to those claims or shared her views on Spencer Pratt’s statements that Brody was almost a hostage in the relationship.
