RHONY Bethenny Frankel Clears Up LuAnn De Lesseps’ Claim She Cheated On Dennis Shields

Real Housewives of New York City star Bethenny Frankel had one of the most epic blowouts in Housewives history with co-star LuAnn de Lesseps during the cast trip to Miami this season, and in the aftermath, de Lesseps accused Frankel of cheating on her late boyfriend, Dennis Shields. This has caused some confusion about the Skinnygirl mogul’s dating history, so she is setting the record straight during the RHONY Season 11 reunion.

According to The Daily Dish, when the season started fans watched as Frankel grieved the loss of Shields who died of an alleged drug overdose in August 2018. As the season rolled on, Frankel dated Russ and her current boyfriend, Paul Bernon. In the RHONY Season 11 reunion preview, Frankel explains that she and Shields were always off and on, and during their breaks, she would date other people.

She had dated Bernon during one of those breaks with Shields, and after he passed away Frankel says she rekindled her romance with Bernon for a few different reasons.

“He just came back and really courted me and it was great ’cause I had a history with him and I trusted him,” said Frankel.

The RHONY star went Instagram official with Bernon in December, just four months after Shields passed away. And, this is why de Lesseps accused Frankel of cheating during the RHONY After Show that aired after their Miami blowout.

“I think Bethenny’s got a lot of issues and a lot of anger and a lot of stuff going on in there. It’s not just about me,” said de Lesseps. “I think her breakdown had a lot to do with Dennis, with her own anger and her own issues and her dating and her guilt, and there were a lot of things bottled up in that explosion.”

Yes, there were some things bottled up in Frankel as she mourned the loss of her close friend, but she was livid about de Lesseps’ behavior since she left a rehab facility that Frankel had gotten her into for free so she could perform at her Countess and Friends cabaret show.

Ever since then, de Lesseps’ diva behavior has caused some serious problems with not only Frankel but the rest of the RHONY cast, too.

Including fellow co-star Sonja Morgan claiming the Countess treated her “like crap” the entire season.

Bravo has not announced which Housewives will be back for Season 12 of RHONY, but LuAnn de Lesseps and Ramona Singer have both been rumored to be on the chopping block.
