Amanda Stanton Says Josh Murray Was ‘Controlling’ In New Tell-All Book – Here’s How!

After their separation, Amanda Stanton decided to get candid about her and Josh Murray’s former relationship. According to her, the man would be really ‘controlling.’

The Bachelor in Paradise alum was a guest on Nick Viall’s podcast Viall Files and during her visit, she also shared a fragment from her new tell all book titled Now Accepting Roses.

In the memoir, Amanda claims that Josh, with whom she was engaged back in 2016, only to split that same year, had some serious ‘control issues’ during, as well as after shooting the third season of Bachelor in Paradise where they met and developed feeling for one another.

Before that, she was engaged to Andi Dorfman, the winner of her Bachelorette season that Viall was the runner-up of.

On his podcast, Viall read from her upcoming book: ‘If he doesn’t turn into your prince, stop kissing him. Josh’s behavior was very frog-like. There were some control issues, more than a few lies told, plus other red flags along the way. Not to mention that Andi Dorfman even wrote a book about his jealous, self serving ways.’

The book she was referencing was Dorfman’s memoir titled It’s Not Okay.

Stanton also claims in her tell all: ‘And what did I do? I kept kissing him hoping he would turn into a prince. I knew Josh was kind of controlling when we were still filming, but the second that we got home from the show, he went full throttle. He’d give me a hard time when I just wanted to talk to my close friends. I’d even have to wait for Josh to go to the gym so I could contact my best friend Lauren Bushnell and even my mom.’

She goes on to claim that he would not approve of her neighbors or childhood friends and would even pressure her into unfollowing some people on social media.

Another aspect of her life he would apparently be controlling over was the things she could and could not wear.

Finally, she caught him peeking under the bathroom door to make sure she was not secretly texting someone while on the toilet. It was the last straw for Amanda and she ended things with Josh soon after.
