Miranda Lambert’s Husband Brendan McLoughlin Takes NYPD Leave Of Absence Amid Rumors Their Marriage Is In Trouble

Miranda Lambert’s husband, Brendan McLoughlin has taken a leave of absence from the NYPD. His timing is suspicious. The couple has been plagued with rumors their marriage of only six months is already in trouble.

US Weekly confirmed the news McLoughlin is not currently active on the New York City Police Department.

“Police Officer Brendan McLoughlin is on an authorized leave of absence,” a spokesperson for the New York Police Department’s Public Information Office shared with the weekly magazine.

The NYPD can’t legally share why McLoughlin has chosen to take time away from his cop job or how long he will be gone from the force. All the department revealed to US Weekly is that officers are allowed to take leave for various personal reasons.

Lambert used social media to reference her husband in what many believe is his new career, house husband.

“House husband shirtless promo vol. 1 #NYPD #ihadto #hotcop” the singer captioned a Twitter post of her man doing laundry without a shirt.

The social media post is also a play on her new single ‘It All Comes Out in the Wash.’

McLoughlin’s life was upgraded when he married the country beauty. However, being married to a celebrity has had an impact on the job.

As soon as news broke that he married Lambert, McLoughlin was removed from foot patrol and given the job of driver for some top brass in the NYPD. It could be one reason he is taking a step back from the police force right now.

The couple has split their time between New York City and Nashville since they got hitched. Lambert considers the latter home. It is where she built her music career, as well as launched her MuttNation Foundation. She has been vocal over the years of her love for Music City.

One of the reasons her marriage to Blake Shelton reportedly fell apart was that she did not like spending time at his ranch in Oklahoma. The Voice coach preferred his ranch to Nashville. There is a chance the same issue came up with McLoughlin and New York City, except this time her man was willing to give up what he wanted for her.
