Brendon Urie Defends Taylor Swift Amid Scooter Braun Controversy

According to a report from Us Magazine, the frontman for Panic! At The Disco, Brendon Urie, recently came out in defense of the pop-star, Taylor Swift, amid her alleged feud with the iconic manager, Scooter Braun, known for managing talents such as Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Justin Bieber, among others.

Reportedly, Scooter Braun purchased the Big Machine Record Group as well as Taylor’s back catalog of master recordings. The 32-year-old said on Twitch TV this weekend, “Man, this f*cking Scooter Braun s**t, like, what a piece of s**t?”, right?”

Urie went on to say that Taylor Swift’s letter sounded about right, stating, “toxic dudes doing toxic b*llshit in this toxic industry” was the norm. The Panic! at the Disco frontman added he was sending love to Taylor at this time, amid her fight with her former manager, Scooter.

Reportedly, Swift, 29, took to her Tumblr this past weekend to write a long message about Braun apparently taking aim at her during the lowest part of her career. Swift said on her account that she first found out about Scooter’s purchase of her masters recently, and all she could think about was his continuous bullying and manipulation.

In her letter, Taylor said she left her master recordings in the hands of Scott Borchetta, and she thought he would do what was best, however, she never once imagined that Scooter Braun would buy them. Taylor insinuated that both of the men are “controlling a woman who didn’t want to be associated with them, in perpetuity, that means forever.”

Moreover, Taylor claims Scooter encouraged his other clients, Kanye West, and Justin Bieber, to bully her regarding the “Famous” music video controversy back in 2016. Following this controversial issue, many others came out to take either Scooter’s side or Taylor’s.

Bieber took to his social media, later on, to say that Scooter never played any role in his behavior. In other words, Braun didn’t encourage him to lambast Taylor in 2016 claims the 25-year-old. On the other hand, Cara Delevinge and Halsey took the singer’s side.

In contrast, Demi Lovato stood up for Scooter. Thus far, the iconic manager hasn’t released a public statement yet. However, Yael Cohen, his wife, wrote a three-page note in defense of her man.
