Beyoncé Lands Multiple 2019 Emmy Award Nominations – Are Grammy And Oscar Nods Next?
Beyoncé scored three 2019 Emmy Awards nominations today for the Netflix documentary Homecoming: A Film by Beyoncé.
Now the rumor mill is buzzing that Queen Bey is going to sweep awards season this year. Both Oscar and Grammy nominations are expected to follow later this year.
Early this morning the nominations for the 2019 Emmy Awards were announced by Ken Jeong and D’Arcy Carden at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences’ Wolf Theatre in North Hollywood.

The Netflix documentary earned several nominations, but Beyoncé earned three nods that could make her an Emmy winner come September. Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special is the only nod the ‘Lemonade’ singer was given solo.
Her other two nominations are shared because they were each a joint effort. Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special is shared with Ed Burke and Outstanding Music Direction is shared with Derek Dixie.
The documentary is up for a total of six Emmy Awards. Those Beyoncé are not in the running for include, Outstanding Variety Special (pre-recorded), Outstanding Production Design for a Variety Special and Outstanding Costumes for Variety, Nonfiction or Reality Programming.
There is a good chance the singer could be involved in the Outstanding Variety Special (pre-recorded). Netflix has not yet finalized those credits for that particular category. So, Queen Bey could make that list before the awards show airs on September 22nd on Fox.

Jay-Z’s wife was previously nominated in 2015 for Outstanding Special Class Program for On the Run, as well as Outstanding Variety, Music or Comedy Special and Outstanding Directing for a Variety Special. The latter two were for Lemonade in 2016.
This fall Beyoncé could very well take home her first Emmy Award. She also just might kick off an incredible awards season for herself. There is a lot of buzz surrounding her as a no-brainer for an Oscar nomination thanks to the remake of Lion King.
Beyoncé’s new song for the film, ‘Spirit’ is basically a shoo-in for an Oscar nomination for best-original-song. In terms of the Grammy Awards, it could be a doubleheader for the singer with Lion King and Homecoming certainly earning her multiple nominations.
There is no guarantee Beyoncé will win an Emmy, Award. However, many in the entertainment business believe it is her time to add Emmy winner and Oscar winner to her ever-growing list of accomplishments.
