Is Controversial Below Deck Med Chef Mila Really A Chef? Inside The Shocking Claims

Below Deck Med’s new chef Mila Kolomeitseva has already caused quite a bit of controversy during the first few episodes of Season 4 thanks to her homophobic comments. And now her “icky” food and questionable cooking skills are leading fans to wonder if she is really a chef at all. Could Chef Mila be a plant by production to cause some drama?

Chef Mila’s BravoTV bio says that her first and only job prior to joining the crew of the Sirocco was “as a private chef working on a small boat.” There are also claims that she attended Le Cordon Bleu, but it isn’t clear which Le Cordon Bleu (there are 35) she attended or if she graduated with a degree.

According to LaLate, after a recent episode, a Twitter user named Jon – who had just joined the site and only had two followers – was the first to post a video of Chef Mila licking steaks before putting them in a microwave.

The video ended up going viral, and in Jon’s Twitter thread there was someone from Below Deck Med production as well as a cast member. The mysterious post led to a lot of questions: How did this person have access to the video? Why were cast and crew sharing the video? And, why did they post it at such a convenient time? The viral video is the perfect promotion for an upcoming episode, and it all just seems a bit odd.

Is it possible that production started the Twitter account to leak the video to promote the storyline? Will they be revealing later this season that Chef Mila isn’t who she claims to be?

She has been serving guests who have paid tens of thousands of dollars to be on the luxury yacht ridiculous food like microwaved steaks, horrible “nachos,” and burgers with Hidden Valley Ranch. That doesn’t seem appropriate for a chef who received training from Le Cordon Bleu.

To make matters worse, she made some horrible comments during a recent episode that outraged her co-stars and fans of the show.

“I don’t want to see a man kissing a man in front of me,” said Chef Mila. “In your home, you guys can do whatever you want. I don’t want my son to be growing up and seeing two men kissing each other and thinking this is normal because this is not f–king normal!”

Something is definitely up with this casting choice, and fans will have to wait to find out exactly what’s going on as they watch Season 4 unfold.

New episodes of Below Deck Meditteranean air Monday nights on Bravo.
