General Hospital Casting News: Billy Miller Reportedly Leaving Role Of Drew Cain

There could be another star leaving General Hospital. Billy Miller is rumored to be exiting the role of Drew Cain.

The rumor mill is once again heating up with reports Miller has decided to leave GH.

TV Source Magazine was the first to get the buzz going the actor could very well be saying good-bye to Port Charles. The website reportedly has several sources that indicate after five years Miller is done with the show.

“Billy Miller. Out. Heard from three reliable sources. Am I confident enough to run an article on it? If I had additional quotes on it sure. Press people been whispering for days so let’s stop messaging each other about it and see who gets more info out. #GH” read a Tweet from TV Source magazine’s editor.

Ever since Steve Burton returned to GH almost two years ago, Miller has been placed on the back burner. Once it was determined he was not Jason Morgan but rather his twin Drew Cain, the writers have appeared not to know what to do with the actor or character.

He has had more of a pivotal role over the past year as Drew watched his son Oscar battle and ultimately succumbed to death from a brain tumor.

It is certainly not the character Miller signed on for back in 2014 when he agreed to play Jason Morgan, a role vacated by Bruton in 2012.

The speculation Billy Miller is exiting General Hospital comes hot on the heels of reports the new showrunners at The Young & The Restless want the actor back as Billy Abbott.

Currently former GH alum, Jason Thompson plays the character, but that could be a non-issue. They had no problems luring Michelle Stafford back to the role of Phyllis Summers Abbott, sacking current portrayer, Gina Tognoni.

Rumors Miller would be leaving GH first began after it was confirmed he booked a role on the new Apple TV series Are You Sleeping. However, nothing about the series has been revealed since the casting news was announced in January 2018.

Although fans would be sad to see Miller leave the ABC soap opera, most are in agreement his talent is wasted on the show. However, since neither the actor nor the daytime drama has commented on Miller’s possible exit, fans will continue to play the waiting game.

GH fans sound off! Do you think Billy Miller is leaving? Would you be sad to see him exit the show?
