Ice-T Claims He Was Close To Shooting Unmarked Amazon Driver — Here Is Why The Company’s Response Missed The Mark
According to rapper Ice-T, he recently got in an accident involving an Amazon delivery driver who was approaching his home to drop off a package.
The rapper was highly critical towards Amazon, explaining that the driver had no uniform or other visible identification, prompting Ice-T to get defensive and prepare to shoot him potentially.
He tweeted: “Message To Amazon: Now that you have regular people making your home deliveries… Maybe they should wear a Vest with AMAZON DELIVERY on it….. I almost shot a MF creeping up to my crib last night… Just sayin.”
Amazon responded to the tweet shortly after. In fact, Amazon’s own VP of operations, Dave Clark, was the one to make a statement on the situation, claiming that Amazon “MF’ing love” the rapper and their own drivers.
He expressed gratitude towards the actor for being a customer and claimed that they would take his suggestion seriously.
Dave shared: “Just sayin…thanks for the suggestion. We MF’ing love you and our drivers. Lots of innovations coming on this and many that already exist to help you track your package and delivery on a map. Thanks for being a customer.”
Some have pointed out that Amazon’s response was a bit strange, as a “normal” person would likely not have gotten back from an actual Vice President at the company.
Others have pointed out that Amazon still has not actually promised any change despite addressing the incident, and they will likely sweep the situation under the rug as soon as they can.
One critic of the Amazon response stated: “Mr. Clark, I have fired customer service reps and managers throughout my years because they thought they were so cool and could communicate with the customer using the same speech patterns as the customer was using. It Is A Mockery, It Is Disrespectful – DO NOT DO IT AGAIN.”
I believe I found the perfect solution – White bulletproof vest with the embroidered Amazon logo . No loss of lives + identification of delivery personnel . pic.twitter.com/TMTq2EAGPl

In any case, the post by Ice-T has generated a lot of discussions online, with many people agreeing with the rapper and pointing out that the company should be more careful in the way they treat their drivers.
This is not the first time Amazon has been under fire for treating their workers improperly, and it looks like there has been growing discontent with the company’s work recently, something which they might need to address soon if they want to maintain their image.
