EXCLUSIVE UPDATE! Priyanka Chopra And Nick Jonas Are Married

It’s official: Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are husband and wife, with People confirming the couple tied the knot during a Western-style wedding held at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India.

The wedding is the culmination of the couple’s whirlwind courtship, coming just four months after they announced their engagement and a year-and-a-half after they made their public debut as a couple at the 2017 Met Gala.
According to People , Chopra, 36, was wed in a custom-designed Ralph Lauren gown, with Jonas wearing a Ralph Lauren tux; in fact, the couple’s families, bridesmaids and groomsmen (which included Chopra’s brother Siddharth and Jonas brothers, Joe, Kevin and Frankie) were also attired in Ralph Lauren.

The Christian wedding ceremony was performed by the groom’s father, Paul Kevin Jonas Sr., with the couple exchanging wedding bands created by famed jeweller Chopard. On Sunday, Chopra and Jonas will be married in a Hindu ceremony in recognition of Chopra’s religious background.
“It is super important to Priyanka to have an Indian ceremony that honours her heritage and culture, just as it’s important to also have a Western ceremony that honours Nick’s Christian upbringing,” a source told People earlier in the week.

According to Vogue, the festivities kicked off with an array of traditional Indian pre-wedding celebrations, including: a puja ceremony (held at the bride’s mother’s home); a sangeet (a pre-wedding celebration that features traditional dances performed by friends and relatives); a mehendi ceremony (a private event in which the bride has traditional henna tattoos applied to her arms and the palms of her hands); and a haldi ceremony (which is meant to ward off evil and provide blessings to the couple).

“People will need vacations after this wedding,” Chopra reportedly joked, and on Saturday shared a photo on Instagram of the bride and groom at the mehendi ceremony.

priyankachopra One of the most special things that our relationship has given us is a merging of families who lo and respect each other's faiths and cultures. And so planning our wedding with an amalgamation of both was s so amazing. An important part for the girl in an Indian wedding is the Mehendi. Once again we made it our own and it was an afternoon that kicked off the celebrations in the way we both dreamed. @nickjonas

To commemorate the couple’s wedding, Vogue enlisted famed photographers Annie Leibovitz and Steven Brahms to photograph the newlyweds for the fashion mag’s
first-ever digital cover with Leibovitz photographing the couple “in a dreamy pastoral setting” while Brahms “captured the newlyweds in motion, holding hands and leaning in for a kiss.”
Vogue also shared some video of the couple: one featuring Chopra dancing to Jonas’ song “Close”, and another in which the pair play “The Newlywed Game” — watch:
