Man named, David Shakari rapes his mother and ex-mother In-law In Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police command has arrested one David Shakari for raping his mother and former mother in-law in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The 32-year-old father of one who attended a festival sometime in August 2017 in the community and returned home drunk in the night, met his mother asleep and forcefully had s3x with her. It was gathered that he begged his mother the following day when he gained his senses, and promised not to repeat the act. However three months after, the rape suspect who attended another festival in his ex-wife’s community in Mahuta and got drunk again, headed for his ex-in-law’s house in the night. He reportedly fled the scene of the rape incident, after her mother in-law’s cry attracted neighbours who gave him a hot chase. Speaking to newsmen, the suspect who was arrested for raping his mother and former mother in-law who are in their 50s and 60s respectively, admitted raping his mother but said he had not penetrated into his ex-wife’s mother’s private parts before she raised the alarm. Blaming it all on idleness, he said;

“I got married in 2002. My wife was in secondary school then. It was agreed that she should complete her education at her parents’ home before she would move to my house. We have a child together. Later, she got remarried to another man.“I was into farming, but I did not like the work. I wanted to further my education.

Last year, I attended Moroha Festival and got drunk. I went home and met my mother asleep. She was the only person at home. My father is dead and my daughter lives with her maternal grandmother.“I did not know when I raped my mother. The following day, a family meeting was held and I pleaded with her. She forgave me and I promised not to do such a thing again.“Some months later, I attended another festival at my ex-wife’s community.

In the night, I went to the house of my ex-wife’s mother. The door to her apartment was not locked. I entered and met her asleep. As I was trying to rape her, she woke up and shouted. I fled the room. People chased me, but they did not catch me. I have repented now. I committed the crime because I did not have any work doing. I have also stopped taking alcohol.”

The suspect was arrested after a manhunt was launched by the police, following a report by vigilantes in Mahuta to theIRT led by DCP Abba Kyari.

“The effort of the team paid off last month when he was tracked down at Samunaka in the Dere Local Government Area of Kaduna State. He raped his mother andhis ex-mother-in-law,” a police source told Punch.
