FG to limit number of children per mother

The Federal Government on Tuesday declared that it was working hard to come out with a policy that would limit the number of children that a mother could have in Nigeria.

It stated that traditional rulers and other leaders across the country were being engaged as regards this, adding that the move was aimed at addressing one of the "great challenges" in the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan of the Federal Government.

Things are not right with Nigeria, says Sultan

The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa'ad Abubakar, has criticised the Federal Government for lack of coordination and the nation's security agencies for not working for a common purpose.

As the 2019 elections drew nearer, the Sultan also warned that politicians might want to orchestrate the type of violent crisis that rocked Kaduna last week in which over 50 persons were killed by hooligans.

'Cop killed ex-minister's daughter for refusing to open car door'

Fresh facts have emerged on the circumstances surrounding the killing in Abuja of Anita Akapson, said to be the daughter of a former Minister of Finance, Nenadi Usman.

It was learnt that the 31-year-old, who was shot in her 2007 Honda Accord car, allegedly refused to alight when directed by the policeman who killed her on October 13.

APC protesters accuse Akeredolu, Bindow, others of leading revolt against Oshiomhole

Supporters of the All Progressives Congress under the aegis of Federation of Buhari Support Groups have accused the Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), of spearheading the revolt against the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole.

Nothing in APC to attract Ekweremadu, says PDP
