SPORTS - Barcelona to offer four players new contract

Barcelona are reportedly ready to offer four players new contract to remain in Nou Camp. La Liga champions have already secured the future of Lionel Messi, Gerard Pique, Samuel Umtiti and Sergi Roberto for a long time.

According to Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona want to use renewal clause in Sergio Busquets' contract to keep him at the club beyond 2021 while Jordi Alba, Ivan Rakitic and defender Thomas Vermaelen will get a new deal.

The same report indicates that manager Ernesto Valverde will also open talks over his future following an impressive first 12 months in charge.Barcelona will travel to face Real Sociedad at Anoeta Stadium on September 15 after the international break.
