Indira realizes that Inder had lied to her that he was unaware about the incident. Indira rushes to Jhumpa’s house to confront Inder. When Inder states that he has no idea what happened in the house, Indira shows him his spectacles, which clearly signified that Inder had been to the room where Mandira was molested.

Indira pleads Inder to help her prove Sameer guilty and seek justice for Mandira. She gets emotional as she had vowed not to plead in front of anybody, after Inder abandoned them. Jhumpa overhears their conversation and intervenes. She states that Inder had not witnessed anything and that he would not help Indira. Indira feels upset when Jhumpa insults her and asks her to leave. After Indira leaves, Jhumpa warns Inder not to reveal the truth to anybody as they did not want to fight against Sameer. When Indira returns
home, Sunaina informs her that Kutumb tried to commit suicide. Indira requests Kutumb not to create more problems for the family. Kutumb holds Indira responsible for Mandira’s condition. She states that if Indira would have accepted Sameer’s wedding alliance, he would have never raped Mandira. Meanwhile, Munna returns home completely sloshed and starts hitting Mandira. Indira tries to stop Munna but fails. Indira breaks a bottle of alcohol and threatens to kill Munna in order to get Mandira freed.

Late at night when Indira comes to the room where Mandira was raped, she vows to help Mandira get justice
Indira visits an advocate in her neighborhood to seek his help in fighting against Sameer. The advocate is shocked on learning from Indira that Sameer Diwan has raped Mandira. Indira requests the advocate to help her. At that time, the advocate’s wife intervenes and does not allow her husband to help Indira. Inder gets surprised when Rishi visits his house.

In order to convince Inder to help Indira, Rishi purposely accuses Indira and Mandira of being characterless. Rishi adds that Inder had taken the right decision of not testifying against Sameer. Inder fumes with anger on hearing the accusations against his daughters and slaps Rishi hard. He warns him not to insult Mandira and Indira in the future. Inder is confident that his daughters would never go wrong. Rishi confesses to Inder that he was trying to provoke him to help Indira. Rishi adds that he had no intention to insult Mandira and Indira.

He requests Inder to support Indira and testify against Sameer. When Jhumpa calls out to Inder he quickly asks Rishi to leave fearing that she may not tolerate Rishi in their house. Before leaving, Rishi requests Inder to go to the police station the following day. The newspapers publish report about the
rape on Mandira by noted builder Sameer Diwan.

The Sharma family is shocked when they read the report. The report reads that the police inspector refused to file Indira and Mandira’s complaint against Sameer. Kutumb slaps Indira and holds her responsible for insulting their family by getting the report published in the newspaper. She also accuses Indira of destroying Mandira’s life.
