Love and heartfelt condolences from family, friends, fellow politicians and celebrities are pouring in for John McCain . .. who died Saturday afternoon at age 81 after a year- long battle with brain cancer .

John ' s wife , Cindy , says .. . " My heart is broken. I am so lucky to have lived the adventure of loving this incredible man for 38 years. He passed the way he lived, on his own terms , surrounded by the people he loved, in the the place he loved best."

McCain ' s daugther , Meghan, shared an emotional message captioned "I love you forever ."
