SPORTS - NPF, Abia Warriors, Rivers United Clash In Friendlies Ahead League Resumption

Abia Warriors will host Rivers United in a friendly game at the Umuahia Township Stadium on Wednesday, reports Completesportsnigeria.com.
The return leg will take place at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt on Saturday.

Both teams will use the friendly fixtures to prepare for their Nigeria Professional Football League match day 25 matches billed for next week Wednesday.

Matches will resume in the NPFL next week Wednesday following the World Cup break.

Abia Warriors who sit in eighth position in the table will travel to Akure where they will face Sunshine Stars. Rivers United’s clash against Enyimba will however hold at a later date with the Peoples Elephant set to take on Ivory Coast’s Williamsville in a CAF Confederation Cup game the same day.
