2018 FIFA World Cup winner N’Golo Kante set to overtake Eden Hazard as Chelsea as the best player with a new £290,000-a-week contract offer by the dethroned Premier League Champions.

The 27-year-old has been a key figure in Stamford Bridge since £30 million moves from Leicester City for two seasons ago and the Blues midfielder played an integral role in France’s success in this summer tournament in Russia.
Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Kante ahead of the new season but Chelsea have now made a substantial move to keep the two-time Premier League winner in West London.

According to The Times claiming that France international has been offered a new five-year contract worth a club-record £15 million per season to overthrow Chelsea’s highest earner Belgium captain with his £220,000-a-week deal, which expires in June 2020.

Hazard has attracted interest from European Champion Real Madrid and has expressed a desire to join the La Lagi giants, but Chelsea are willing to offer the former PFA player of the year similar terms to Kante
