Russia 2018 - Nigerian Musician, Banky W Hails Croatia Progress, Tips England To Reach World Cup For Final

Popular Nigeria musician and songwriter Banky W has kind words for Croatia following the Vatreni 4-3 penalty shoot-out win against hosts Russia in their 2018 FIFA World Cup quarter-final clash on Saturday.

The game ended in a 2-2 draw after 120 minutes with both teams scoring a goal each in extra-time.
Denis Cheryshev put the hosts ahead with a stunning 20-yard strike, but they required a 115th-minute header from Mario Fernandes to take the game to spot-kicks after goals from Andrej Kramaric and Domagoj Vida.

“Congrats Croatia.. but I’m thinking the final will be England versus whoever wins between Belgium and France. And the world cup winner will be whoever wins between Belgium and France,” Banky W whose full name is Banky Wellington wrote on his Twitter handle.

Croatia will face the Three Lions of England in the semi-final in Moscow on Wednesday.

It is the second time they will be appearing in the last four after they made it through to the same stage in France ’98.
