Manchester City Midfielder, Fernandinho says Neymar is not afraid ahead of World Cup

Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho revealed that Neymar isnot afraid as he fights to get back to full fitness ahead of the World Cup.

The 26-year-old world most expensive player is sidelined with a foot injury he suffered against Marseille since February but Paris Saint-Germain superstar is undergoing is on the road to recovery with Brazil gearing up for this month's showpiece tournament in Russia.

Fernandinho had a similar injury to Neymar previously and the Premier League winner said former Barcelona and Santos forward is on track for the World Cup, where the South American will face Switzerlandalongside Costa Rica and Serbia in Group E in the competition.

"This kind of injury Neymar had is a little bit difficult, I can tell because I had it too. "It aches now and then…the bones... the process is a little bit complex.

"But, when you watch the moves he'smaking during the training, the way he is training, I see him very well andhe's getting his confidence back, that's so important.

He's so audacious, trying to dribble thedefences, he's not afraid."That's the first step for him to be 100 percent confident again. And wewant him to be fully fit as soon as possible, till our first match in the World Cup.

I have no doubt he's a player who will make a big differencefor our team." Fernandinho said via Goal.World Cup favourite Brazil will take on Croatia Sunday and Austria June 10 as part of the preparation to the Mundial.
